Just thought it d be a good idea to talk about all these in a new thread!
I m starting with a weird one.
Since I rooted my phone,I cannot change individual ringtones/notifications.
I mean that whenever I try to edit a contact,it only lists the internal preinstalled ringtones/sounds and I have no option to use my music or mp3s.

Any suggestions?!?

If you scroll way down it'll give you option of music library
Hey! Come on now! :-P
The thing is it doesnt give me the normal option you re talking about at all. :-(
Maybe something to do with file permissions?!
The foldet "music" has files that are visible and playable by the stock player though.

Are your market and applanet unstable after root/jit/app2sd? For market i just uninstalled update and now it's ok. But what about applanet? Does anyone use it?

working of Applanet depends upon Applanet server
if it doesnt work than probably the server is down, sometimes it takes days to get it back working
I know that. It's not that it's not working, it's unsable. As in I download, and half-way it force-closes the applanet app (android "cloase app" error message).
Applanet is buggy as hell at the moment.
Their server checker reposrts the servers online but still no apps.
Anyway, another solution that works for some people is deleting applanet s folder/temp files, uninstalling and installing it again. For me it still didnt do the trick!

The damn phone started rebooting by itself after a manual reboot.
The only way to prevent this is keeping the screen on.
I guess it has to do with ATK killing autostart processes...

hmmm... there are three files in the superoneclick folder with their name starting with adb... copy those files in a new folder (make sure the folder name doesnt have space) now in cmd cd the path of this folder and try again
after applying JIT, the phone restarts everytime i plug in to a PC usb port and choose connect your phone.
When you connect your phone to PC normally you will get few options like connect pc, install pc companion and charge phone. if u click any of those options the phone will restart. instead click back and mount your sdcard from the notification bar. It worked for me before i rooted my phone. now after rooting im not having this problem.

Had the same problems with an 8GB class 4 Kingston micro SDHC card. Booting with that card also took forever on my phone. Shifted to a 4GB class 8 Sandisk and I haven't experienced the issue since.

i use 8GB class 4 Ridata SD card. Don't have problems like those. Just experienced some lag when i browse through the contents of the SD card.
It could be that app2sd script didn't install correctly. I had this problem too. This means that there's nowhere to install the app so it just gets stuck.

don't think so as the apps installed correctly on my sd. Its just the apps doesn't appear sometimes when I reboot my phone
Im using a class 2 8gb card and there was some apps missing and gone the 1st time it turn on after enable app2sd. That's not a problem for me, i can just reinstall all the apps back.
And so far there's no lag...Well except when playing angry birds.
After installing app2sd I can't download apps from market. They get stuck and freeze in "starting download..." state and that's it. Any ideas fixin this?

Restart your phone or clear market cache and Try again

Thanks Suhel but this won't help in my case. In my insane over excited state because of the recently gained root access I accidentally on purpose deleted Gtalk which screwed up market and Gmail. So I'm struggling to resurrect it back now but with no luck yet.

I had a bit of a weird one here. I rooted my X8 with superoneclick, installed the sdk for the adb function and followed the instruction in #3 for the app2sd install (Root 2.1 *Complex* :)). So far so good. But since there was a problem and it didn't work properly, I decided to remove app2sd, using the option [1]:
It rebooted and got stuck on the "Sony Ericsson" text (logo at startup). Tried to hard reset but didn't get anywhere...
Any idea what's happening here?!!
Thanks a lot!
UPDATE: used the repair function of PC Companion to reset the phone, that worked fine. but still wonder about this remove function. Has anyone experienced that before?

when you uninstall app2sd
there would be a second option that would come
in that choose 1st option
