this is a bummer. you'd think they would want that at launch for sure.

Uh, yeah, this is no surprise that regular 10.1 didn't work, there was never really any hope for that. What we all want to know is if the Tegra 2 APK will work.

EDIT: apparently someone on XDA said they tried this APK, and while it installed it didn't actually run when visiting Flash sites. Oh well...I still think thoe folks at XDA will have a temporary fix for this within a few days, mark my words

I can also confirm that the XDA Tegra 2 flash 10.1 does not work with either the stock Android browser or Dolphin HD. I can install it but it doesn't seem to be recognized. Bummer.

I'm using it right now to respond to you. It could very well not be 100% efficient to use on honey, however its doing what I expect.

Considering Flash works amazing with the beta on the gTablet and the Xoom has the same chipset, some folks will be stunned how well Flash can play on a passive cooled chipset device. Flash on the Gtablet makes my Inc and Droid X seems like G1's.

You folks should be very happy with the results

I have the same issue. I've put in a support ticket with skyfire so hopefully they will get it cleared up in the next update. Here is a link where you can add to the support ticket. In my experience the folks at Skyfire will get it working, they are very proactive at getting issues resolved:

OK, so this may or may NOT be news, but . . . after installing 10.1 found in an earlier post, I opened Skyfire, went to ESPN, went to "watch now" it opened up and played.

All I know is March Madness just got a little more awesome now that I can watch on the go.

Only issue is they data mine what you watch and send the site info to businesses that pay them. No info about the user, but all videos played are stored and used for data mining.

Might want to avoid jiggly sites!

Has VZW given a date for Flash and the microsd working? I was told that the microsd would not be updated until the LTE update for Xoom is ready. The rep said that since the port uses both the LTE and the sdcard, it was going to be the same update.

I do not think he meant you had to take your Xoom to a dealer to get the microsd to work (like LTE does), but just that is when the microsd would also be working (same FW update).

I messed around more with the Xoom and like it, but can not shake the host issue. Yes, I have mentioned it a lot, but just seems a waste for Xoom not to have it.

Skyfire works good on my iPod 4. Wait, am I allowed to mention Apple?

Flash performs amazing on the gTablet, so when you folks get it on the Xoom, you should be surprised how much better it performs compared to any current non Tegra 2 device

Default Why Flash Is Missing on XOOM?

This is my theory as posted at Flash missing on Xoom due to a known bug? : x-Labs

The bug (here) was reported more than half year ago and it seems it never got adobe and google's attention.

Is it just me or does 10.2 suck? I'm running 3.0 maybe thats why, but holy crap this runs worse than 10.1 on my OG droid. Choppy, and if there's flash it takes forever to actually appear on screen. I've got great internet too so I know it's not my connection.

I haven't received the OTA yet can i still aply Flash 10.2 or should I wait?

Never mind, I see that you don't. I had to reboot after install to get it to work. It still doesn't work well. HULU doesn't work, it says it's not supported by this platform. ESPN3 tries to load but is so choppy it's impossible to watch or follow. The only site that worked smoothly that I've found is motorola.com/xoom. Maybe once I get the OTA it will make a difference.

I have mine rooted and did a manual update .. I figure I would flash it when I send it into Moto for the 4g upgrade .. They tell you how to lock it up and all on their site.

If you root your xoom with help from @Koush (My Brain Hurts: Motorola XOOM Rooted)

Then go to Jrummy16's manual update (App to update xoom for root - xda-developers)

Then get the flash apk (Flash for your Xoom!)

Here at DoidLife (How to: Re-lock the Motorola XOOM Bootloader to Receive Updates (Updated) - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog) you can learn how to relock it up

I'm too impatient to wait .. That's why I got into Android .. If I wanted to wait until official updates I would be on iOs

Not true for me. Works half way. Hulu doesn't work, Netflix doesn't work, ESPN3 doesn't work. Youtube in Facebook does work but that's about it.

Downloaded from mydroidworld and it's working great. Amazon Instant Video works. Yahoo works. Google Video works. Hulu says not optimized for device, but ABC.com is perfect.

Default I am on 3.01 with flash 10.2.

After reading about a flash download....I checked it out...downloaded it..and it works great. I think others have mentioned it, but the mods keep killing the threads.

I have tried Amazon video on demand and it works great. If there are any sites you want me to try...let me know.

Netflix isn't going to work. The web based streaming uses Microsoft silverlight not Flash. I'm not sure what Hulu uses.

I got the OS update just now. I'm going to wait on the official flash release...

I d/l'd the update as well AND flash and everything is working beautifully. Its good to be able to go to my favorite websites that require flash. Thanks for the link to the flash file.

Is this the same as the one coming the 18th? As in should I not worry about installing the one from the app store on Thursday when it comes out?

yes, I was talking about the threads having to do with flash. Also, my response was totally justified with the way that POS acted by calling me an idiot. He should be banned from the site.

Either way, I am happy to have flash, and all it brings woth it.

any flash related posts should be combined in this thread. i will update the thread to reflect that there is a temporary flash app that is working until the official releases.

there is no need to start a new thread just to say one has flash installed. lets keep this forum streamlined as much as possible. members, i appreciate your cooperation on this.

It is already posted in XDA forums. I installed it and am using 10.2 on my gTablet and Incredible.
