Same here. Especially the capacitive buttons thing. I'll just glance down at my phone and they're just on while the screen is off and its like what the hell!?

I have not had that issue with Wifi, I have noticed once the button lights stayed on until I turned screen on then off.

My issue that I'm having is my ringtone and notification sound have reset themselves again today. I havent reset the phone since the last time I reported this, and I'm not sure. I'm also on 2.25 and i'll probably just do a fresh install to 2.3 here later today.

Default Hands down the best rom thus far

Mobstergunz just wanted to say thanks! I love your rom its super clean and very fast. Everything works perfect on my HTC Evo V 4G!! I have also noticed more service bars (3G) since I installed this rom!!!.(although I did the reception tweak aswell) My only suggestion would be the option to overclock. Anyways I appreciate your work! (Mobster Rom V 2.25)

Damn, can't dirty flash from 2.2 to 2.3? Crap, thank God for Nand's! LOL

Though I may have to switch to another ROM eventually, I have so many damn apps that restoring everything, even from Titanium, becomes a bit of a drag when I have to do it with every ROM update. Admittedly, I didn't try 2.2x, so I'm not sure if dirty flashing wasn't an option there either.

In 4ext you can advance backup data and then flash that after installing the update. Setup us all still there then. (be sure to wipe caches before rebooting after installing data). Huge time saver.

Easiest to find after booting into recovery. Doesn't show up in the app.

I like the regular look of google now and play store better, is there anyway I can change it?
Also, I found that advance task killer can free up to 450~ mb of ram, but 2.3 always shows it only free around 350~400mb.

Yeah you can stop some apps from caching themselves in the RAM so they open quicker, but what's the point? Do you really need 450MB of RAM? It's better to put it to use and speed up your phone then have it sitting there doing nothing. Android also scales itself so that if an app really did need more RAM it would free it up from processes that don't need it at the time. If you really want longer loads, sure, go ahead and have all that "free" RAM.

I think he would need like gapps to flash the original apps instead of the black themed ones right? Is there a working gapps zip that could be flashed post install to do that?

Also, I noticed that every time I do a fresh reboot/startup from shutdown, the 'System is upgrading' message pops up. I saw another rom that 'fixed' that and was wondering if that is a normal thing for this rom or if it's something to be looked at? Or maybe I'm just the only one getting it

Default Hash codes

I am aware that the hash codes for the evo v only work on sense roms or stock, but is there a way to use any cut to make a link to the codes? I need to get into ##clear# but can't on mob's wonderful Rom.

I live in a small town and Virgin Mobile phones only get 1x data, but my friends who have Sprint get 3g at the same location. I have the 530 radio and the Sprint PRL even and I still only get 1x. Is there something unique to Sprint phones that allows them better data, or is there a tweak that could be done to get 3g on my phone?

Try looking for apps that make the phone EVDO only

Found out you can dial *#*#4636#*#*
Choose phone info
Change cdma auto to evdo only

Still didn't let me get a 3g connection, but for others this might be helpful.
**Note** You can not make calls or send/receive texts when in evdo only mode. This is handy if you want/need a steady connection, possibly for tethering.

If I recall, Mobster had explained this earlier post. It shows "system upgrading" because this rom boot up much faster than the system itself and other roms. So there is nothing to worry about that message.
Am I right?

Thanks for clarifying that, I'm guilty of not reading the 2nd page of this thread

As far as Gapps goes, is there anything that could be flashed that has all the ICS based Google stock apps that the user a few posts back was asking for?

Try Wiping Cache and Dalvik Cache then flash the Gapps from the 2nd Post along with the Original Google Now under the Mods Section

Question about kernels,

I am more concerned with battery life than I am blazing speeds. I have flashed your ROM (which is excellent) but what can I do to maybe suffer a bit of performance and obtain better battery life?

I've updated this rom by doing the factory reset wipe, wiping cache, and then dalvik. I am now running the 2.3 version. I for some reason am still getting my ringtone, notification sound, and alarm reset back to defaults for some stupid reason. I've kind of figured out that it's that stupid jerk app Sound Sets. Every time I set them either via the settings, or by holding my finger on home screen and going to sounds, after some while it will still revert my ringtone back to themos.ogg and revert the other two back as well. I cant figure out why the heck it's doing that, but I did notice that it will put it back to the HTC 2010 sound set which I guess is default. If anyone has any idea what's going on here, any help would be much appreciated. The only other info I have is that I'm using a ringtone on my SD card that is not a .ogg file but it's never mattered before. It's located in a folder right at the root of the SD called ringtones.

So I was able to Unlock and Flash Mobster V 2.3 through 4ext !!! But I notice that the Kernel still seems stock? Can I flash the power Kernel through 4ext while s-on?

I'm pretty sure Mobz kernel is based off of stock, so it will look the same in the "about phone" menu. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If anyone has any idea what's going on here, any help would be much appreciated. The only other info I have is that I'm using a ringtone on my SD card that is not a .ogg file but it's never mattered before. It's located in a folder right at the root of the SD called ringtones.
Try updating to 2.35 I've made some changes that should fix that

Is it possible to get stock pics gray notification icons? I really hate the white sense icons. I was also wondering if there was a theme to get away from the inverted apps. I'm trying to make my phone looks as close to AOSP as possible.

Sorry, autocorrect. I meant the notification icons on the status bar. I was wondering if it was possible to make them the gray icons like in ics.

You're right, I've tried almost every from for the evo v and this is the only one I've used as a daily driver.

2.36 is just a tweaked theme? What is being tweaked and is worth flashing if I use apex launcher as my default or should I just install 2.35 and not worry about 2.36?

Make sure you make this full size then "right-click and save as"

- also in "Holo Launcher HD Settings" go to "Desktop Settings" and uncheck "Wallpaper Scrolling" then check "Portrait wallpaper mode" thats how i got it centered

It should be on the opening page. 2nd post has a flashable zip. Just boot into recovery wipe cache and then flash the zip.

Got your 2.36 all set up. Am I just going crazy or wasnt there a bookmarks option in the browser when you hit the menu button? It seems to be gone for me.
