Default how to boost up the volume on the warp (video)

How to increase the volume on an android phone (I use ZTE Warp from Boost Mobile) - YouTube

I don't know how to properly set it but my video tutorial will show you how much of a boost it can go.

Post better settings if you know how to.

Just tried it.
Really didn't make much of a difference in loudness.

@kam are you hitting home or back after using the app? If you hit back instead of home it will not apply the settings

Yes, I did it like that but the difference in sound levels was not that big. I'm just gonna stick to my old method of editing my music through my Audacity app in my laptop.

BTW Knox, you're doing a great job on vids about the Warp over on YouTube. I'm always checking to see when your next one drops.

I noticed this had very little effect on the stock Android app for music but it did a great job boosting the volume for MX Video and ring tones both stock and Zedge...wow I am having to scale them back its so loud.

I finally got mine to work too. There are 2 apps named equalizer and I had the wrong one. The one I got to work (yours) is the one from "SA Labs". And it really does make a difference. But be careful of the volume as I blew the speaker of my other phone (lg Optimus) using a volume booster.

Default zte warp quick speaker check!

okay so if you have the zte warp and are surpised at how low the volume seems, try this first

play any song !

then while song is paying remove the back plate cover!

if you notice that the volume gets louder when you remove the back cover,

then its most likely a defective cover ,

if you noitce on the cover there are two slits are that is supposed to allow the music to flow thru has some type of seal over it ,
find something to poke out and remove the layer off till you can see thru the slits

this should greatly increase the sound output than before ! for me it was like night and day hope this solves your sound issue !

I need to test this...Looking at it, it just appears to be a simple speaker cover...upon closer investigation though, its definitely something that would muffle sound o.o Great find!

I wonder why on earth they would have that there? It is not a dust shield either because it is not vented or anything it is like black electrical tape kind of.

I don't think it makes a difference but tried it anyway. Thankfully my roomate has the same phone and wants to get a new one. So i'll just switch out my back plate cover with his and get my speaker dust cover back on the back plate as it was origional. Those sound booster apps DO work and I've tried them but the sound comes in totaly distorted and terrible quality. I want my phone to last and I bleieve those sound boosters will blow the speaker eventualy plus the sound is terrible quality. The speaker wasn't designed for that high of amperage of noise imo. I have average to bad hearing but if you lay your phone with the glass face down I find that the phone is easy to hear at max volume with the stock volume level. Good luck, just my opinion.

Hi all!

You are at liberty to disagree (politely) with another member's suggestion but making assumptions about how others who follow the advice will react just starts arguments, as seen here.

Please remember the two important mantras here at AF; "attack issues, not people", and "post constructively or not at all".

Thanks!

I agree with you 100%,And also feel its better to leave it Stock and not remove the vented speaker cover.Your just asking for problems.

It's just a diffuser like a microphone that has foam over it. It's also a dust/moisture protector like a home speaker has for a grill cover. It will sound louder removing it but will also, although minimally, cause a slight ding in the armor in the phone's protection of moisture/dust. The battery contacts are towards the top of the phone though while these vents are at the bottom plus the dust getting in won't hurt anything (electronics hate water and heat...dust...meh, no biggie). You guys and ladies won't hurt anything imho However, there is a zip file available that I got from Apollostar that really kix azz in the audio boost and hasn't caused a single problem in distorting my phone's speaker! I'd rather have the volume there if I need it and turning it down than not having enough volume. Does a lot more than the speaker diffuser removal lol
