Gotta say it works pretty good and is very easy to use didn't use for very long but for the time I did it impressed me. I am a rooted user and seen no problems whatsoever. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Things to fix/add/change:

Toggle switch improvement
Add possible on/off widget
Increase no internet uses to 25
Remove blink for non-rooted version
Add Root functionality for rooted users.

The last one will make a huge difference on the app's performance and features!! Night and Day.

Hello everyone. Looks like this weekend I'll have some free time. I'm hoping to tear into it

My God! That actually works! If you press the home button while the flash is on, the phone doesn't turn it off! Great discovery!

Thumbs up

Awesome news guys and gals...

I spent some time on the app today and now have a ROOT option. I also fixed a few little bugs here and there.

What the Root option "currently" gives is:

- Instant on/off light with no delay.

- A "DIM" check box so that when the light is turned on, it will be dimmer than full bright. It will affect the blink call system as well.

- A much better blink calls system. It's quick and clean! Play with the number to the left of the check box. This blink calls check box is for a future version that will blink the LED whenever the phone has an incoming call or text, etc. Sorry but for now the non-rooted blink is going on the backburner. I will be accepting user input on the duration of on and off for the blink process. Right now I like it!

OK Now I need an original beta tester (a tester who has a username other than "openbeta") to test this before I release it for everyone. Who wants to try it. You'll need to be on the forums after I give you the link so I can get instant feedback. I'm on limited time to work on this, that is why.
That being said I'm going to take a break and then write the dim checkbox code so I'm thinking sometime tomorrow morning I will release it to the special tester(s).

Thanks all. Going to get some food, I haven't eaten all day. TTYL.

Does the "openbeta" not allow dim to work?

I just wanted to let you know that this works wonderfully well on the ZTE Furry. There is something about ZTE phones that make regular flashlight apps useless. I know I'm a new user, but if you need another kind of phone to test let me know.

I have provided a small update to fix a Root issue which existed after the phone was restarted. Please check the site for the latest version 1.5.

I downloaded your flashlight app and it`s working great, but why do I need authorization every time I open it, and why only 20 uses with out internet. zte warp rooted stock rom.

sorry, rebooted phone and do not need authorization any more, went back to 20 uses.

not sure if people heard, but we have a fix in place in some Roms on the ramdisk side of the kernel to make normal flashlight apps work from the play store, n00b ROM for example has this in place.

not to diss the work here, just wanted to make people aware of the option.

Well Actually dtm is implementing it on the next version I'm pretty sure and dm already implemented it in the alien Kernel... Blackbolt22 worked really hard to make this work when no one else did and deserves thanks a thousand times and his app does not require rooting at all so it should definitely be supported for anyone who wants to remain on stock unrooted Rom... But for root users its becoming obsolete and Blackbolt again you are doing some great work but times have changed...
