Virgin got the S3? Why can't us boost customers get it also. Will this be streamed online anywhere?

Think Walmart will be getting this on the 6th as well?
I just switched from Verizon ( had the Spectrum ) to Boost mobile and got the Zte warp. I can take this phone back in the 15day window to walmart. I want ice and 4g. I was looking at the evo but its way to small.

Why is that funny?
Verizon was pretty sweet having 4G at my house getting 16-20mbps download speeds was nice but paying almost 200 a month for family plan was not happening anymore.

Sorry Boost, but you've priced me out the market at $370 for the new phone. It's a nice phone, but can we keep it to $300? If I'm going to pay that much, I will just get an unlocked Galaxy Nexus ($349) from Google with JB already on it. And although I would have to use it with Straighttalk for $45/mo, at least I will get better HSPA+ speed/coverage and battery life than your WiMax will. Kind of sucks b/c I was going to hit $40 in 2mos on Boost. I'll wait a little longer, maybe until the end of the year.

Anyone notice that they are releasing the phone on Sep 6th, and on the Boost Website the 15% off expires on 8/28? That really sucks Booost!!!

1) That is too much trouble (I think) and don't know how anyway.
2) It would cost me even more to buy and have someone do it.
3) You will have to trust someone with your information from what I've seen b/c they are essentially cloning another phone.
4) Getting support would be extremely difficult if things go badly.
5) It is illegal as far as I know. I've seen other posts about that before.

Flashing phones to other carriers is legal, but like you said it's really more trouble than it's worth. What happens when something goes wrong and you lose your flash? Then you just have a very expensive paperweight, I mean you could still use it as a Wi-Fi only device but that defies the whole purpose of it. Unless you know how to flash yourself, I wouldn't bother with it

there is nothing wrong with using i higher end android as a wifi-only device (i.e my spectrum) while using the warp as your main runner for calls texts and all things 3g

I didn't say it was a bad thing but I, myself, can't fathom the idea of a $600+ Wi-Fi only device lol. But hey, if ya got that dough, do you mayne :-)

They don't? Well if they don't, they seem to not care because people do it all the time. Boost says they don't allow a lot of things but in reality, they really don't give a shit what you do with your phone, just as long as they get their money. None of their reps are a quarter phone savvy as anyone in this forum anyway, just full of idiots that Sprint wouldn't hire so they sent them there lol, just sayin

For real, at that price I'd pick up an iPad. Seems like a much better investment.

We do not speak of iShitDevices here at AF (jp lol)
I guess you can tell I'm an Android fanboy. I would go back to an old flip phone before I buy an iPhone or any Apple device for that matter.

I might sell my warp to save money. I'll have a chat with the owner of my local phone store see if I can get a deal.

How is it ridiculous? It has better specs than the warp not to mention ICS as well and its the same price as the first warp when it was released.

Its not the same price as the Warp when it was released. In fact its almost double the price. If you paid $370 for your Warp, then I got some things I'd like to sell to you .

The Warp was $249 when it was released last November and then Boost slashed the price to $199 after 2 days and threw in a $55 service credit.

I thought this thread was about Samsung and Boost, specifically the SII. The new Warp Sequent thread is here > http://androidforums.com/zte-warp/610119-new-zte-warp-sequent-200-a.html

Awesome. Nobody knows which phones we are comparing. Warp, Warp Sequent, iPod, SII, Evo, etc.

haha i thought we we're talking about the sequent haha, BTW for a phone like that on a no contract company? i would buy it if i had the cash. some ppl pay almost over 400 bucks for iphones for a 2 year contract. if you ask me, prepaid networks are stepping up their game bro.

Stepping up their game or fooling the customer? Most choose Boost for no contract and price. If you buy and sell your phone for the next exciting phone that comes out but lose $200 to $300 a year selling and buying a new phone are you really saving?

Example you bought the ZTE Warp for $200, and sell it for $100(maybe). Loss of $100
Buy the SII for $380. Loss of $380
In less then a year you lost $480 since November 2011.
And possibly in a year or less you may want to upgrade again for x amount of dollars.
So, since November 2011 and within 2 years you spent $480/tax and more because you are upgrading again.
You might as well add $480+/$20 a month over the course of 2 years because you upgraded and sold phones over 2 years and lost money.

With the SG2 on our line up? if you get that phone i can guarantee that no other phone will even come close to the amazing specs it has for atleast a year and a half or 2 years. I wouldnt drop the SG2 for any other phone that comes to boost in the future.

I actually did that and I am beyond happy.
ie bought the galaxy nexus(gsm) and went to straight talk and wow I didn't realize how incredibly slow, and I do mean SLOW boost data was until I switched.....BIG difference.
Not to mention no carrier bloatware.
The s2 is a nice phone indeed, but it is nothing compared to mine, and its even less appealing when you factor in boosts slow and often spotty service.
Good luck to those of you who but it and choose to stick with boost.
