I have a boost warp stock. I would like to root and install a custom rom but every time i try oto download the needed zip files i get download unsuccessful. Has any had this problem with the warp??

Sometimes stock browser has issues downloading from various sites...try using a different browser or a download manager. Though I would suggest downloading to a PC if possible and then transferring to SD card as ota downloads are more susceptible to corruption.

Just so you know, Yes lots of people have had that problem. It's the stock browser for sure. Try the download to pc then transfer to sd card solution. I do it that way most of the time. Lots faster and easier.

Actually stock android only likes to download certain types of files ...

However there is a fix most people don't know about. It's included in most custom roms. It's called download crutch. Be sure to allow unknown sources before installing. Once installed it just does its thing.
