For those of you adopt Warp , particularlly, thank you all very much!
After we launch Warp, first ZTE device in Boost mobile, we learn a lot from all the comments, feedback, good and bad. The issues are like speaker, processor speed, and FF camera
With all the feedback we get, it almost took us 10 more month to come up with Brand new WARP Sequent... With Keep large 4.3 inch screen, we focus on several major improvements
1. ICS Screen, big resolution jump compated with Warp.
2. Improved CPU processor to 1.4G, so you can plan 3D game on the phone with great experience
3. 4G built-in memory, that is also the reason we did not attach MircoSD card... give you fast responding
I know they might not be good enough, but we will continue working hard to improve user experiences, and bring the best stuff to you guys.
Hearing feedback from you guys directly is awesome!

Well I'm glad you fixed everything. Now can I have a free speaker cause mine sucks. Oh wait, by the way I fixed your volume issues in the source, the two are unrelated cause I fixed it after my speaker had issues. Lets continue.
So did you fix the issue with wifi killing ril at speeds higher than stock? Assuming so, cause you unlocked the speeds that were already in the acpu_clock7x30.
So being that you are sticking your head in here after a year to say hi, does this mean that zte will support this phone or are we out of luck?
If you have a question about someone, please don't challenge them publicly, it derails the thread - that's what the report button is for.
Joey is a manager at ZTE, so I think that if he wants feedback - lay it on him. He showed the courtesy to step forward for the community, let's return it in kind.
Mods are getting in touch with Joey to clarify his other folks roles and responsibilities - easy peasy gang.
Cheers, thanks!

That is a good question though dtm. It would be nice if ZTE would support and give us what we need to improve development. Like a source code that's not broken and a system dump from the new warp. That would definitely be a start to a better relationship

You wanted feedback good or bad. Here is a little, the only reason my original warp runs as good as it does now is because of the DEV'S HERE, not because of anything ZTE did for me. Sorry guys, but it's the truth.
I know what you mean lil bit. But like earlymon said let's play nice and be polite. We know zte is a sad excuse for a phone manufacturer. But the forum arent gonna let us jump on em lol

I'm not reaching out for a system dump, but a link to the sequents update would be interesting. But hey, either I get it from zte or from an actual owner. I just needed to vent my frustrations with zte. Even though they might be sock puppets. Don't make me break out the pic
And just how did joey prove that he is a manager at ZTE ? What proof do you have that he is what he says EarlyMon ? I would hope you have something other than his post.I also would like to see something other than here say.
Of course it was more than that post.

I can't say if Joey is sincere or not in his feedback offer - only that I think so and hope so.
But I wouldn't say he passed muster if mod staff - with multiple cross-checks - were not danged sure on that point.
And I can't say how he passed muster with us, because our privacy policies protect everyone.
We've checked - and I've said what I've said.
Please drop me a line if there's a problem with what I'm saying, hopefully, you'll agree that's fair enough.

Every company is required to release the linux kernel source because of the way its licensed... you arent required to release the actual android source code... and I understand why but what I dont understand is why you guys try so hard not to release the kernel source even though you know that you have to... and then you guys waited until we created a working source code ourselves to release your non working crap... something told me you guys were spying on us... but this confirms it... what are you so afraid of? However... Glad you guys have finally made your presence known though... dont misinterpret my tone... my intentions are good... not trying to add into the chaos

no SD support? Sorry, 4GB couldn't even hold 4 movies I encoded. Not to mention all the music I have on my Warp. Will have to select something else, if i ever upgrade.
does it really matter if the phone came with an SD? if you already have good ones why use the crappy one they come with IMO there really not needed (unless you dont wanna dish out a buck for an SD worth it)
Damn apollo, you just messed up what i was trying to start..
Mine 3
Mine 4 ......
I dont want a sequent. But the real problem is that its the same internal memory and the same people that sold us faulty phones with faulty software and abondoned our support. Are now selling a new rip off. I think thats how i see it. Are they really that cheap to not include a sd card? Feel me? I know a few people that still use there 2 gig sd.
Sorry, Guys, Travel and tied up this week. Just have a chance to visit the message. Thank so much for your attention. The only reason we come here is to have your feedbacks from you, and try to improve our product next time.
We can here to help , meanwhile, I encouraged my product managers, who are responsible for product planning & Marketing, also actively involve the discussion.
The feedback we need , is not only from carrier, like Boostmobile, and sprint, but also ,truely from you guys. You are the real customer to have the device day and night.
Again, I am really appreciate for your comments and feedback.
P.S I saw some of them confusion about SD / SD card... Just a quick claification, Warp Sequent does support SD card up to 32 G... But we thought, obviously not very smart , customer should be more happy about larger built-in Memory,in stead of external memory card..... I am working on this issue now, to see if we can still come up with SD Card on the next shipment....
Haha, yes. Right after TA, ( ask you guys imagine, 10 month...^%%$$), I ask my product manage to come visiting here more often... I got some really feedback already , like
1. WIFI issues,
2. Speaker issues
3. SD card issues,
4. o, " Joey" issues as well...

Ya know, it would be nice if more phone company research & Dev employees took the time to come in here and read up on what's going wrong with the devices they are manufacturing and then take steps to correct these issues.
Who knows people, this guy may actually be able to help you guys and gals out. He has at least taken the time to come in here and let you know that he has been paying attention to your posts. Can't say as I've seen that in any of the other sections that I frequent.
As for the new Sequent, it'll be interesting to see if you guys at ZTE have upped your game any and have made some much needed improvements. I came very close to purchasing the Warp but it just had 2 many issues so I bought the LG Marquee instead.

Joey, welcome to the forum!
I think we can give ZTE credit for releasing hardware that had a lot of potential for an mid to low level android phone. My first phone was the samsung prevail and I was amazed when this phone came out with it's big GLASS screen and nice display, I bought it the first month it came out because of the specs.
The software did/does leave a lot to be desired, the biggest issue I have with the software is that the first warp has still not had an update to ICS. If you want to keep customers long term you need to make them feel like their product will be supported with the latest software, we like android because it's cutting edge and customizable. Once we are three releases behind software wise it gets to feel like ZTE doesn't care about people who are early adopters of their products? It's been proven that this phone could run ICS, we have the specs to run it and we know zte has the software and know how to get us ICS on the original warp. If you won't, we will with your help or not, it will just be a lot more frustrating and take a lot longer if we are left on our own to figure it out.
I thought the b08c update did make the phone more stable. Downthemachine/hroark/shinru and others took it many steps further by getting the kernel sorted out to enable swap, init.d support overclock etc.
Please tell whoever will listen that the early adopters and people who purchased the original warp don't appreciate being left with gingerbread when there are jelly beans being handed out to everyone else, it makes us feel abandoned. I would purchase another zte product if we got an update to ICS on the original warp, that would show us that ZTE wants to keep the customers who were experimented on with the first warp.
