It's not spam, it's a reasonable company announcement.

We allow this with a number of vendors including Wirefly, Seido and so forth.

What a neat move by a tech company, I hope we can help, there's certainly a lot of early adopters and power users on here that have good ideas for future products!

Hello MADAM/SIR

My name is chufeng, I'm a FUT engineer in ZTE.

Please allow me to introduce you about this trail: ------------------------------------------------------------

Steps to participate in the ZTE friendly user trail

1. Become a friendly user of ZTE: Send an email to me or leave a message on our Facebook(ZTE fut trail) to tell us you want be a ZTE friendly user.(complete) It will be very welcomed if you can also invite your friends to join us.

2. Fill out and send back an application form: The Information gathered, such as name/education/etc, will help us to build your user profile and background information. This information will be used for internal research purposes only.

You can find an excel form "Information of Friendly User.excel" in attachment files. Please fill it out and send back to me, thanks!

3. If you are selected (*a selection based on userís working background), you will become a ZTE friendly user. ZTE will send you an invitation concerning participation in the Friendly User Trial (FUT), when our new modelís become available. - The invitation includes a brief introduction of our new handsetís that will be tested in the following weeks, usually about 4 weeks. - A basic guide of FUT test itself

4. If you accept the invitation, you will be required to sign a "Non Disclosure and Sample Phone Return agreement" before we send the sample to you.

5. During the trial, please send feedback to us about your feelings and experienceís while using our phone. Please immediately report to us any inconviences and errorís that you encounter. We highly value and welcome any suggestions that you may have. They are extremely important to us as they help us bring you better products and services.

Please Notice: - If the handset does not interest you at this time, this is not an issue, we will keep you updated concerning other products in the future that you may be interested in next time. - The sample handset may contain a pre-installed application to capture system logs, these logs will only be used for internal debugging purposes. - * For security reason, ZTE will not choose who worked in mobile phone manufacturer and related industry as friendly user, sorry!

If you have any question, don't be hesitated to ask me.

Best Regards!

I forgot to mention - Chufeng Wang did PM me the other day that he was taking this over for QingWu - that's why I re-opened the thread.

And again - please with the spam remarks. It's been answered. ZTE is new at this and working with mod staff to do this right. If anyone isn't interested, move on to a thread more to your liking. Further spam remarks will be deleted without prejudice.

This is a big corporation with cultural differences in communication styles from what you may be used to, so bear that in mind.

Androidforums.com is not getting anything out of this. We're just trying to make sure that you don't miss out on support opportunities.

Cheers, thanks!

PS - we removed their email addresses from the op per our standard policy. But they're ok with it, so we are. Yes, these individuals have email at ZTE corporate. Hope this clarifies.

PPS - HTC did this same thing. We had users here showing the Verizon DROID DNA prior to its public release.

Best luck to everyone on this!

I have spoke with them also.

And now with a new sub-forum, they can directly engage active zte users without it being model specific.

This is a ZTE forum. If your trying to root a phone, I would encourage you to find the phone in the long list of phones... there is usually a All Things Root section on each forum that will give you the directions you need!
