Handcent Donation

For some reason I was under the impression that there was a benefit to donating to Handcent's dev team through the program. I thought you would be privy to advanced settings as well as the ads being disabled. I donated $3 on Monday night and I haven't received any communication on the team, or figured out how to "unlock" anything extra.

I emailed the devs on Tuesday and still haven't received any word back from them about this.

Any advice from those that have donated?

Donating $3 to chomp sms takes away the ads. I don't think handcent offers the same benefit.

No benefits. Keep your head up though.

There are a lot worse things that will happen in your life compared to losing $3.

I don't feel as though I lost the money, I am very happy w/ HandCent and hope the donation allows them to continue making updates for the app. I was just trying to understand if there was any added benefit to the donation; I would have made the same donation without any perks.

You might try contacting them. Who knows, you might manage to get something out of them for your contribution. If you do let us know. I've not donated yet but I might be willing for some kind of a perk..it would not take much as I'm close to doing it now.
