Alternative to Beebplayer

Had the same problem as described but eventually found beebplayer via a link elsewhere on this forum, to be honest I found it to be a complete waste of time as it hardly ever played the program.
Recently installed 'myplayer' and that does play selected links but I found it to be virtually unwatchable because of the very pixelated picture

Still looking for a genuine iplayer app but have a feeling we'll have to wait for the beeb to get off there arses and make use of our licence money.

Good news I suppose, but would much rather use it over 3g. If I had WiFi the chances are I'd be at home in which case I'd just use my laptop, not really much use to me but thanks for the info though.

It's all meh. One of the reasons that beebplayer was pulled was that iPlayer would work in 2.2. But if this won't let me listen to live BBC radio out and about it's still utterly useless to me.

Bring back beebplayer NOW!

Edit: just found this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2010/05/live_radio_over_the_mobile_web.html

...which suggests that BBC radio can now be streamed live to any mobile phone (except iPhone etc, which is very odd). However I just tried and it didn't work over my WiFi connection, but I've come to get to know that my Desire has never been great with mobile data and might just need to turn it off and on again :)

I streamed 5 live commentary over phone network the other night. No issues.
