Epic iPhone vs Evo MUST SEE

That youtube video is funny or clever perhaps to those who don't understand the actual differences between the two phones.

1. The Evo has a slightly larger screen, but that comes at the cost of a significantly lower resolution. Also the larger Evo screen is an additional battery drain.

2. The Evo has an 8megapixel camera, but that doesn't mean it takes better pictures than the Iphone 4. For the people here who are ignorant on how digital photography works, more megapixels does not equate into a better quality picture. The iphone 4 has a 5 mp camera but a much larger and more sensitive image sensor, resulting in better pictures.

3. The Evo's 4G coverage is spotty and horrendously unreliable, as 4G right now is more of a novelty than anything else. On top of that, when the phone actually utilizes 4G, it's a HUGE battery drain.

4. The Evo's battery may be replaceable, but the Iphone 4's battery lasts a heck of a lot longer. I wonder if the Evo's battery was designed to be replaceable to allow its users to carry around 3-4 spares, considering all the unnecessary battery draining features the phone has.

ect ect

The Sprint HTC EVO 4G Review - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

Look at their web test between 3G and 4G. Also, at one point in the review he talks about why you get the perception that 4G hogs more battery than 3G (due to usage styles depending on coverage).

And how good is the iPhone's 4g coverage? Oh wait...that's right, I forgot it doesn't even have it.

"Your holding it wrong"

I really love how the only thing the iPhone fanboys can come up with is the battery issue. Of course our battery doesn't last all day. We can do shit you can only dream of!

As I mentioned, the 4G coverage provided by the droid phones is spotty, unreliable, and only in a select few locations. It's just a novelty right now, it's simply not practical or even useful for many many droid users.
It's brand new. It's expanding by the day...same was true for 2g/3g as will be for 5g ect. If a person lives in an area and chooses to use a service that's available then what's the issue?

That being said, I touched on a number of issues besides the terrible droid battery life, such as the iphone 4's superior camera (iphone's larger image sensor results in better quality pictures, *megapixel count does not automatically translate into good pictures) and the iphone 4's beastly screen resolution.
Two points where iPhone might be a step above...TWO

Though if we were only talking about the battery, that by itself should be a HUGE consideration for anyone looking into a phone. The fact that the droid phones require a full recharge practically every 3 hours is horrendous.
I don't recharge mine anywhere near that. People who do are those that don't know how to close an app or shutoff things they're not using. We've come upon a smartphone that in many cases truly is smarter than the average user. It takes a bit of time to research, read the manual, google a question, ect...It won't hold your hand for you!

Ask yourselves, why is it that every time a new smartphone comes out it's compared to or put up against the iphone? Why is it that in 2 months Verizon will be offering 'buy one get one free' offers, meanwhile in 2 months you'll be lucky if you can even find an apple retailer with the iphone 4 in stock? Why is it that iphones retain a large portion of their value for years? I can easily sell my two-year old 3G for 200-300 dollars, meanwhile it's impossible to GIVE AWAY FOR FREE a 1 year-old droid phone.
First, you are aware that the EVO is not a "Droid" phone nor is it on the Verizon network correct?

Now, they compare other phones to the iPhone because it's been out for how many years? Android is still rather new in comparison. Of course you'll have the established iPhone fanboys who buy them (as the video pointed out) just because it's an iPhone. The vast majority of users won't even research or care about another phone. The ones who do are converting over...read it time and time again in the Android forums and see for yourself!

The iPhone, like Apple Computers, will eventually fall by the wayside simply because of the limitations put on it by the supreme dictator. iOS on how many phones? Android OS on how many? When you put limits on the product it fails to reach it's potential...no other way around it! You ask "Well why hasn't it happened yet?" Well, a device that can outdo the iPhone is just now available. No way any unbiased person can find in favor of the iPhone 4 over an EVO...It just doesn't stack up.
