Hey everybody! Been lurking here for a bit, and have received a lot of great tips so far, so I'm actually posting!
About me.. 24 year old male who works for one of the biggest electronics retailers in the world (won't say which) and loves electronics in every flavor.
Currently I have an HTC Hero on Sprint. It's my first smart phone, and I will never switch back. I'd been hearing about Android for a while and was anxious to try it, but T-Mobile has terrible service in my area so I had to wait until another carrier got a phone I liked. In December, I cancelled my existing contract with another company for next to nothing and made the move to Sprint to get a Hero.
Right now, I've got 2.1 installed and, thanks to this forum, disable the OTA updates so I can still root if I desire. In an attempt to change some of the things I didn't like about Sense UI, I downloaded and currently am running Launcher Pro as my home replacement. I also have ADW on the phone, but didn't use it because I like LP's scrollable dock. I probably will be rooting soon, but need to install an operating system that HTC Sync works with (It doesn't like my XP Pro x64)
