Accessories Just received the newer version for EVO of the Seidio Innocase II, seems more rubberized inside!

Well I just got my RMA today for the Innocase II for EVO. It looks like the difference is that the areas that don't have the felt on it aren't plastic anymore, or the plastic is covered up. The unprotected areas without the felt now seem to have a more rubberized feeling like the outer part of the case.

I purchased some felt today, thinking I would need it, even with the update. I am now unsure if I should use it or not. Anyone else using the new update for the case with the rubberized inner? How is it working so far for you? Any scratches? Would you put the felt in anyways?

It seems tighter. Only time will tell. The felt is still there, but instead of plastic on the open spots, they rubberized it. The rubber is the same feel, look and color as the back. I am guessing with it now being rubberized and not plastic, there probably shouldn't be any reason for it to scratch anymore. When I have a chance later I will try to take pictures of old and new for comparison. First have to make wife and daughter dinner. It is pasta night. Yeh, I am the cook of the family.

I too had a defective Innocase II, my RMA came today.

The build quality is a lot better, and no creaking, feels a lot more solid.

Enjoy the photos for comparison.

New, then Old.

Replacement Innocase arrived. Don't have time to post pics, but basically the newer version has an interior that looks identical to the exterior. It looks like what they've done is removed the hard, shiny plastic interior that was on the original cases. My replacements are black and pink (wife's color) and both have the softer rubber. The pink is still pink, but both the inside and outside are the softer rubber. My wife liked the original shiny pink exterior, but she won't mind the newer, softer rubber because it's also more scratch-resistant on the outside.

I checked our Evos, and no scratches from the original cases. I think that's more because we're very cautious about handling and using electronic devices. I'm going to install rear and side films from Bodyguardz to keep them scratch-free going forward though. Easy enough to put the sides and back on without water sensors being tripped.

Worth it to get an exchange if you can.

I just got my new one, took a few pics.

The new one is more rubberized. Also, my felt goes above the Camera cut-out. Unlike the pics posted above.

It also fits a lot tighter
Where did you purchase this new version from?

Also if I have the Best Buy Platinum version do I have any options other than just returning it? Have Seidio updated the platinum case with these improvements?
