the company seidio seidioonline.com usually does a good job of getting cases for new phones out pretty fast.

I love my droid, but it is time to move on. The droid X may be the phone that I keep for more than 8 months, well maybe not. The droid X has been on my mind for 4 months now, a rumor thread kept me from getting the incredible which I am so glad I did not get it now. July 15th needs to hurry up and get here!

lol im in the same boat im a 6-8 month phone person(my gf hates me for that lol) but i think i might be able to stick with this phone for at least a year maybe more the next phone i will get will be an lte phone i mean .. what else could they possibly add to a phone?

Well, I drive my wife nuts with how often I switch phones. I think I can make the droid x last for a year maybe the full 2 years (probably not). It really depends how long it takes verizon to get lte in my area. If they don't get it in my area I probably will hold off on the lte phones cause I am like you, what else could truely be added.

Yeah I agree. I am going to try to stick with the droid x for a year contract. I have never had a phone for that long so it will be a challenge

Just got back from Apple and the new iPhone is pretty sweet. Retina display is extremely crisp. Loaded up a website on the iPhone 4 and my Droid and the iPhone display is definitely better but you have to have both side by side to really notice a difference.

I really wanted one so now it makes waiting for the Droid X that much harder...July 15th cant get here soon enough!

Same here. I started with a Eris and switched a week later to the Droid. Love it. Drooled over the DInc and almost made the switch but I wanted to hold out for a bigger screen if I was gonna do this out of contract. Initially was gonna wait for the Samsung Galaxy S. But I'm a little leery about Samsung smartphones. The DX is just what I want. Bigger screen, no keyboard and 720p video on top of being faster. I am pretty sure this one will hold me over for at least a year. If not my wife is gonna kill me I'm sure.

Funny before this I never had a problem holding on to a phone for 2-3 years. Smartphones are a freakin' disease I'm tellin' ya!!!!

Whats wrong with 9950?
I'm using my since I returned Incredible and I really like it. Just realized how much I missed clicking touch screen The only thing killing me on BB is a browser....
Anyway, even if there is nothing wrong with 9550 - its working horse, working but boring )))
So, bye bye Storm, hello moto droid X. But BB will sit in the box as back up, or travel phone.

crazy i know .. video chat doesnt tickle my fancy thats the next big thing but after that what else can you do to a phone?? unless they put on a DSLR lens on a phone what else can they do?? if you figure what your computer can do the phone is right there with what a desktop can do so how much further can they go?

Actually Samsung makes great products. I had plenty of their ok spec'd, well built winmo smartphones in the past. What they do lack is support of their products. Time and time again they throw you down the river with no paddle. Hopefully that changes with the galaxy s.
