When I updated to PRL 60666, my speed tests would default to the Alberqerque NM site (shown as 999.6 miles away) and would not show anything closer.

My closest server is Los Angeles (about 45 miles away).

For some reason I just checked for updates and lo and behold there was a PRL update to 60667.

And now my home server shows as Los Angeles.

Could this have been a side effect of the 60666 version? I tend to believe it was not a coincidence of a problem and 666. LOL.

Hrm, I suppose in theory it could. The PRL specifies the preferred towers, so maybe you're hitting another tower throughout your day that has a weaker signal than in the past? Check to see if you have any Time Without Signal or if TWS changed compared to pre-update. Also, do you do any roaming throughout the day?

I'm getting fairly poor battery life after the OTA update, but I'm trying to see if it's an App I installed around that time or something with the actual update. Now that you mention it, I did a PRL update right after the OTA to 667. I keep thinking it's an App in my case given many others are crusing along no problems, but it's hard to verify since I did so many things at once. I'm planning on a restore and root tonight in any event.

I restored my phone last night, but I did update the PRL as soon as i restored. I also only reinstalled 2 apps i think, they were the two that i had paid for. I haven't even reinstalled swype yet. But my phone has been off the charger for just over 2 hours and it's barely been used by at 91%. I'm not saying that's bad, but i'm going to watch it today to see how it goes. If it drops a bunch today I may restore again and just not update the PRL.

Also, I do roam while at work, but that was always the case. My TWS is in the 40% or so area for the day usually by the time i get home (post update). I think it was about the same pre-update but i honestly don't remember.

Ok, so from what i can tell so far today I've been running for 6 hours and 55 minutes so far today. And i'm at 84% still. I guess my battery drain was not the PRL update but something else. I also noticed that my time spent w/o sleeping is on 9.9%. I've left wifi on all day but haven't used the phone much other than to receive many emails. I guess I'll start reinstalling apps tonight and go from there.
