Just installed. Went to archived items in menu and downloaded few books from my kindle account. Tested whispersync and works between kindle and ipad both. Thanks kindle. With slingbox app and kindle app my life is complete except for one thing- streaming Netflix app.

If you are using Cyanogen that is why. There is a fix.. go to this link:

I had the same problem and it fixed it for me.

I think I figured out why I wasn't getting the store to load. You have to make sure that the browser is set to show as mobile version. Before I had it set to show the actual websites, not mobile view. rtb35, give this a shot and see if it works for you.

Turn on Mobile View on your browser.

yes, once installed you can just browse the market for free books. I just did it to try it out (have never used a kindle/nook device, so I wanted to try it out). Even with my EVOs huge screen, I'm not sure I could see reading a book on it.

Yep, there are numerous free books available from Amazon. Create an account with Amazon.com from your PC first because the first time you run the Kindle app it'll want to register your device with your account.

there isn't one. Just pick a category you like and look at the prices. I picked up some Sherlock Holmes book.

Try playing around with the view options for font size/color/brightness. These screens obviously aren't meant for long reading sessions, but the view options help a bit.

When you go into a category you have the option to sort by Price: Low to High. Or there is a free section on the PC site. You can 'purchase' a free book there and it'll sync to the app.
