Keyboard issues?

So I have a mytouch 3g and I am on my 2nd replacement phone (3 phones total including the original one i purchased). I keep having the same issue..The keyboard keeps malfunctioning. It will quit responding in the middle of a text message and will not do anything! I can restart the phone and get about 3 texts out before it happens again. This has happened with all 3 phones. I have no screen protector and no applications except for PDAnet and Task killer. What could be happening?

Obviously I have considered that. And Im not texting fast. I am texting slow to try and conserve the damn thing.

it does it to me too. However i type really fast and cant help it. I can get a letter at a time and this is not always. I just do a reboot and not kill anything. I keep wondering if the task killer is killing off some vital apps.

Have you tried using a different Keyboard?? Maybe try Swype?
