No froyo for inc?

Did you read the entire article? The writer retracts the statement and with good reasoning. The site that talked to HTC was in the UK and the devices named are European devices. And how the statement was put forth is telling, since it does say "several" and not "only these devices." Not to mention that HTC said directly that the Incredible will get froyo during the 2nd half of the year.

Unwarranted FUD.

*edited, seems like the issue is resolved...

kind of unrelated, but one thing that really lifted my spirits though, was

we’ll assume that they plan on updating our Droid family member in the next month.

we're a family! i'm such a nerd that i consider android to be not just a phone operating system, but a community. in the last few weeks i've seen more android phones than iphones, and that's in the middle of a very... iphoney type of demographic. i saw a couple where the guy had a nexus one and the chick had a mytouch, we greeted over our phones and geeked out for a minute. same thing happened with a Evo owner the other day.

So does "technology journalist" mean "I repost random c%$@ I find online without context in order to create rumor fueled forum panics to drive up viewership on my website."

Hmmm...now that I think about it, it sounds like CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc.

Seriously, a UK news source talking the HTC UK doesn't mention a US phone. Everybody, sharpen your pitchforks!
