Help Changing the text message ringer

I have been looking since I got the phone for a way to change the sound that notifies of a new text messages. I found how to change the incoming call tone and it practically begs to you to change the notification tone that is specific to emails (and facebook?). The text notification tone is like a girl fart, I just never hear it. It's like HTC doesn't want me to know I have a text which is kind of a problem as I am in college and most text messages I get are time sensitive. Any idea's?

Sorry but this made me laugh... time sensitive college texts? Do you mean like... dude they're doing free beer for the next 15 minutes... hurry and get here... or dude just found out we're having a quiz...better read!

I'm just joking around I hope you know but it made me laugh.
And yes... first thing I did was change that darn text tone also!

Ha yes free beer is absolutely time sensitive. And thank you, I never would have figured that out. I don't know why it isn't in the main Sounds and Notifications switchboard, it would make sense for it to be there.

It is under the "Sound and Display" under the settings.

Where else would it be?

What I want to know is how to have different tones for different alerts. I want a different one for an email, for a text, for an IM....
