Lol Hi everyone,

I'm new here and is anyone else friggin pissed off if they have the first generation motorola droid??? well you should be!!! Eversince I got this phone in Dec 2009 I've been on the lookout for when Flash 10.1 can be downloaded on our phones. Everywhere I looked they kept saying in the first half of 2010. It is now June 30th and still no friggin Flash. Now their saying you have to wait till Froyo or whatever.

WTF

Now we have to wait some more, of course they're putting 2.2 on all the newer phones but some of us don't even have 2.1. Now for everyone that went out and bought droids last yr and are on contract we can't get the new phones so what about us.

If I'm overreacting someone please explain how the first gen motorola droids are going to get Flash 10.1 or any other type of Flash for that matter?!???!!

And don't say we can just watch youtube cuz lord knows that app is garbage.....and using youtube on the browser is a roll of the dice as well lmao

u mad?

ok, I'll bite. You bought your phone through a carrier. That means Motorola and Verizon have the right to test 2.2 all they want before rolling it out to you. 2.2 just officially came out yesterday so now basically those 2 players can start testing for 2.2.

I bought my Nexus 1 straight from google, that mean I have no carrier association with my phone. I paid more though, because it wasn't subsidized through a carrier.

I think your aggression is a bit premature, but fairly understandable.

Motorola Droid getting Froyo next month, Droid X late summer

No, I'm not pissed off but I'm not one of the countless self-entitled Android users that was all hyped up over Flash. Release dates slip. That's a fact of life. Do not count on anything other than officially announced release dates. Estimated release timeframes (such as "First half of 2010", "2nd quarter of 2010", etc) are meaningless and everyone should know better.

If you really want it now, you can load it now. Granted, you have to root. However, you can walk the walk and load it or you can just talk and rant on forum sites. It's your choice. I can tell you that one option is more effective as I'm running Froyo and Flash on my Droid and have been for some time. You're not missing much when it comes to Flash. I suspect you'll also be ranting about how disappointed you are when it is available that it isn't the panacea you had hyped it up to be.

Now we have to wait some more, of course they're putting 2.2 on all the newer phones but some of us don't even have 2.1.
Your Droid doesn't have 2.1?

Now for everyone that went out and bought droids last yr and are on contract we can't get the new phones so what about us.
It has been stated countless times that the Droid is getting Froyo and will be one of the first to get updated. Again, you could have it now if you really want it. You don't have to have a new phone to get Froyo or Flash unless you have a device that is specifically not getting Froyo.

If I'm overreacting someone please explain how the first gen motorola droids are going to get Flash 10.1 or any other type of Flash for that matter?!???!!
Not available now != never going to get it. The Droids are going to get Flash the same way they get any other app once they get Froyo, which will be pushed out same as 2.1 and 2.0.1.

In other words, just look at recent history for your answers. I don't understand where you're getting this notion that the Droid will never see Froyo or Flash. Calm down, stop the hyperbole, stop acting all entitled and only count on officially announced release dates (there still isn't one for Flash yet but it is in beta) and you'll be doing yourself quite a favor.

And don't say we can just watch youtube cuz lord knows that app is garbage.....
What problems do you have with it? It works fine for me.

Welp thanks for the replies, I'm not a tech fiend and sorry if you guys have bigger things to worry about but I just want to watch videos on my phone.

And how exactly does it get updated, do you have to download it or something (yes I'm really asking that question I told you I'm new to all of this)

Thank you

Your going to get called out if you make a rant post and only reply to bump it up 3 threads on the front page. That is very trollish behavior.

takeshi and I have given advice that you have seemingly ignored.

You phone will tell you when there is an update.

I already have 2.2 and flash 10.1 on my droid. Your's must not be using its full potential. I'd tell it to get off its bum and get to the root of the problem.

And for the record, yes your anger is unjustifiable. They probably could have pushed an update out by today, but it would have been buggy. And people like you would have complained. So it was lose lose for them. Miss the deadline by a few weeks and hear people b*tch or put out a buggy update and hear people b*tch.
