Verizon Pre-order date?

Does anyone know when this phone will be able to be pre-ordered through Verizon? I won't be in town when it comes out so I want it shipped to me, thus I can't pick it up at a Best Buy.

As far as we know there will be no pre-order from Verizon. So as of now, your best bet would be to wait until July 15th when it comes out and order online, then it will ship to you.

yeah supposedly no preorders from verizon if you want to preorder you will have to go through like best buy or a store like that

Thanks for the info. I suppose I'll just have to order it online while I am on vacation and hope it isn't backordered by then. I haven't had much luck with Verizon's internet sales recently though, maybe I will just get it in store when I return.

The rep i talked to said they would have plenty in stock i know you can never go by what they say but i guess we will see on launch day if they have another daboccle like HTC did with the incredible. Lets hope not

I'm going to a cabin in MT for 2 weeks July 11-25. And clearly won't be able to make a purchase on the 15th (no internet + cell service). The place doesn't even receive mail. So I can't order it and have it shipped there. Ugh.

It's quite funny, in my opinion.

My store (well, the guy to answered) knew nothing.

Assuming I can get authorized by our corporate contact to do an in-store purchase, I'll definitely be waiting in line on the night of the 14th if I can find a store doing that.

I called a verizon corp store by me and they said they didn't know when launch day was or when the phone would be available or how many they were getting. I am surprised they even knew what the X was

I then called another corp store and he knew a lot more. I asked him if they are opening early or anything, and he said as of now, no, but that their motorolla rep told him there will be "plenty of stock". No idea if there is any truth to that though. Although he still recommended to come early in the morning.

Anyway, he asked if I'd like him to take my name and number down and he will put one on hold for me as soon as they come in. So I said yes and he said he will call me on the 14th to verify it's there and to set up a time for me to come in on the 15th. Pretty sweet if it works out!

I also have a best buy pre-order that I did on the 28th (my wife probably wants one too), so let's see who comes through and first!

guess i'll be camping out at my local verizon store. Think getting there at 7pm will be early enough?

The stores near me would only be opening an hour early they aren't having a midnight opening. Maybe yours just wanted you to wait outside all night so they could snap a pic and be like we have waiting lines too

Verizon isnt preordering anymore due to problem with Incredible backorder and preordering so I have been told.

I have also heard that their will be plenty of stock. Quoted from the Verizon rep "not sure how many, but way more than the Incredible." Thanks friggin GOD. They have quite the mess on their hands with that one.

I just spoke to a Verizon rep on the phone about that I have a Incredible on order but won't ship until July 23rd maybe. I thought about canceling the Incredible and going with the Droid X just to get a phone faster. But I have multiple upgrades available at this time so I am going to keep the order on the Incredible and try to order the Droid X on July 15th. The rep said there were not going to be any pre-orders on the Droid X and it was first come, first served on it. He was not sure if it could be ordered on-line at Midnight on the 15th. He said just to try and see when the Verizon site updates and try to place my order.
