Can my EVO 4G speak?

Hey everyone. My old Verizon LG Dare had the ability to talk to me (If I received a call or text it would say "Call from...... or Message from ....") Is the EVO able to do this? Thanks!

try... settings/accesibility/ turn on accessibility and talk back...

i think theres also an app that can actually read whole text messages.. im not sure on the name though

I've got SayMyName Dessert. Not sure why it's got Dessert at the end of it. When I get a call, the phone rings and the voice announces the name of the caller repeatedly if the caller is in my address book or it announces the phone number if they're not.

By default it just announces "John....John....John...." You can tweak it to say whatever you want though so it can say "Call from John....Call from John....Call from John"

Edit: I just looked through the settings. It has features to announce your SMS and e-mail.
