My issue is that i can NOT get any videos from my gmail to play at all. Either while using Video Player or Movies when I am first asked to pick one. I pick both after one doesnt work and I can NOT get any video to play at all...

I need help with this =[

I believe that this is due to 2.2 .. i have not flashed back to 2.1 to find out if that is true but eversince 2.2 video playback from gmail has shut down. even if i save the vids and play from gallery.. i have a blank spot where the video should be.. =[

The file ends in .3g2 -- This is to say that I was always able to play these vids, but cant anymore.

Even older movie attachments that I were to play before the release of 2.2 were playing perfectly fine. but now they wont at all.

From what I know Droid doesn't play .3g2 files, at least not a videos with the audio attached. Droid as well as other Android phones playback .3gp. Most .3g2 files will either play with no sound, or will be considered broken videos. Astro recognizes it as audio files. I know it'll pick it up in the gallery, but as far as playback it's wishy washy. Some work, some don't. Wish I could be more help.

well...thats stupid.. makes complete sense though.. i wonder why the files are now .3g2 now.. the people I know havent changed anything from their video recording.. thank you very much regardless.

Anyone know of any possible fix? or something that can be done. maybe a work around

Before I updated my Droid from 2.1 to 2.2 (Build FRG01B), my .3g2 videos were able to play just fine. Now that I've updated however, my gallery won't show a preview of the videos but it still recognizes that those .3g2 files are there. When I try to play it, it says it cannot play the videos. So it's something with the 2.2 update.

However, I'm going to download the RockPlayer and see how that goes.
