Everything was great, loving life....then yesterday, after 5 days of perfection, my gmail won't push anymore...

Everything is set to sync....so, I turned off sync, turned it on again.....then it pushes, but won't after that.... (it's been 24 hrs nows)

I hope this is part of the update they are sending

Anyone else notice their gmail not pushing anymore??

Thanks
CM

bump. I have this problem too and its the most annoying problem I've had with the Incredible.

Auto Sync and all that jazz is on by default and I never turned it off or messed with any settings. It went from working this morning, to not working tonight. I'm getting closer and closer to bitching to Verizon for a Droid X swap.

Youre gonna need to get a few warranty replacements first before they will send you a different phone, usually 4+ and that isnt a guarantee they will send you a Droid X. Unless youre still within your 30 days.

I'm not within my 30 days but my brother has had 3 Incredibles on our account so far and if a mail selling point of a phone isn't working I'm going to bitch until I get what I want. We have 6 people on our Family Share plan and pay for 4 data connections and texting plans, etc. We are great Verizon customers.

And I will argue that this isn't a hardware issue and that a new phone isnt going to do anything but make me redownload all of my apps and wait for it to happen again. I just returned to factory settings YESTERDAY and it's already happened 1 day afterward.

I'm with you. Gmail has never been consistent with its push for me. And starting today it wasn't working at all. Only when I went in and manually refreshed. I just unchecked and re-checked auto-sync and it's working again, but really?

I've had this phone since launch and there has been alot of unchecking and rechecking, soft reboots, battery pulls. Basically everything except a factory reset.

I wasn't even getting HTC mail notifications today, but finally figured out that I needed to go in and clear out all my sent folders and the SD card mail extension. Who knew all the email attachments are going on the SD card?

Same problem here. I have done 3 factory resets today per Verizon instructions and it's still not working. Called HTC, they had no idea and so sent me warranty department for a replacement. The warranty dept - a 3rd party company - sent me to their tech support. They were obnoxious bullies. The guy argued with me for 10 minutes about how what I was seeing on my phone couldn't possibly be right. They had no fix and said it was a Verizon network problem. Nice. I just came from the Eris and had so many problems that I replaced it 4 times. I'm to the point where I think HTC produces pretty, but shoddy devices that even Verizon can't support. Very frustrated because there is no other device I want - including the Droid X or Samsung. I just want this phone to work! Ranting over now.

This just started happening to me today. Push email was working fine this morning, but come sometime this afternoon/evening, I noticed it had stopped.

Went ahead and tried turning off, then turning back on the auto-sync, but all it does is download the messages that are in my inbox at the time. After that it won't push any new emails that come in (I tried sending myself a few test messages to see if that did anything). Looks like I'm going to have to try a factory reset and see if that does anything.

What a pain; the phone has been working flawlessly up until this point.
