So I guess the FRF85B wasn't the final build after all. This is strange, really strange I think.

What I think this means is: there was something still very wrong (bad bug perhaps) with the FRF85B so they quickly patched it and released another final, FINAL build.

So I'm wondering, does anyone know what it was? Or am I the only one that got this weird second final update.

EDIT: I got yelled out for starting the 10th thread on FRF85B so in my defense, I browsed AND used search looking for similar threads and NOTHING turned up on FRF91 so if there are 10 other threads about this I sincerely apologize, but I didn't know.

Thank you.

Are you serious? Now I feel sorta bad that I got the two OTA's for FRF85B and FRF91 lol.. I had no idea anyone was still waiting on the first OTA. I assumed they would roll out to all handsets within the same week at least.

I haven't noticed anything different either.. went straight to check that WiFi hotspot was still available. I was afraid that they took it back or something. Everything so far appears the same.

Hang in there.. I hope everyone is FRF91 by tonight :D

Got it OTA as well around 5:40pm EST as I was heading home. Since I got the FRF85B yesterday I was really confused to see this today, but I updated anyway and to my surprise it was the FRF91. I don't see anything different. I did notice when you search in the browser it shows scrolling twitter results sometimes..not sure if its always done this though.

I know my browser on the pc does this. I've never seen it on the Nexus, but then again I only see it sometimes so maybe it has something to do with what your searching for?

It may be that they began the rollout of FRF85B to some/many phones only to discover the security hole, so stopped the rollout to patch it. That may explain why a sizeable number of people don't have any Froyo OTA in any flavour, and now that FRF91 is being given to the 85B people, they know it works and can once again begin the general rollout of Froyo for all the Eclair users.

True. I saw it earlier on my Nexus One just by searchingi "FRF91" because i was curious what it was. However I just did that exact same search and it didn't do it. So I don't know how it does it (even on the PC)

The only difference i have noticed so far with frf91 is when i use the Nexus Car Dock.
In the new Car Home, when you exited and pressed the phone home button, you would not return to the car home but rather the phone home. Now when you press the phone home button, you return to the car home.

What I don't understand with 2.2 is why applications i killed with advanced task killer keep starting up again by themselves moments later without me opening the applications e.g. one game in particular - battle for mars, gesture search, wisync, buzzoff etc. It didn't use to happen under 2.1
