Hey BIG MERF the link to FRF91 provided in that link you gave us above...will that work with all android builds? Im on FRF85B now with Rogers network.

I also noticed 2 different files to FRF85B. One was like 44mb and the other was 88mb
I currently installed the 88mb one, but does anyone know the difference, if there even is one?
The link in that link only works for FRF85B to FRF91.
The files your talking about will probably be for FRF50 to 85 and 2.1 (ATT or Tmo) to 85 respectively, given the filesize.

Looks like the FRF85 was not the final Froyo update.
Either that or they found a major bug on the FRF85 and very fast corrected it.

Whatever the reason is FRF91 is now rolling out and you are very lucky who got it.

Most of use are still waiting to get any Froyo update.

Why don't you just manually update?

I don't get it... why wait?

I just went straight from FRF50 to FRF91 OTA( Wifi-only ).
I was at FRF50 from a manual install as soon as it was availabe and wanted to wait to see if a real OTA would hit with a WiFi only N1. It did.

Literally just got it so not any testing but the volume might have been notched up a bit. Just got an email notification and it seemed louder. It's 10:10 so it must be good. Everything happens at 10:10. ;-)

What I don't understand with 2.2 is why applications i killed with advanced task killer keep starting up again by themselves moments later without me opening the applications e.g. one game in particular - battle for mars, gesture search, wisync, buzzoff etc. It didn't use to happen under 2.1

Don't bother with a task killer. Android can look after it's own processes well enough.

Indeed, especially with froyo now that we've got so much more memory, a taskkiller has become almost completely obsolete. I'm still monitoring my apps to see how they're holding up in froyo (xScope doesn't seem 100% compatible), but I'm not killing anything anymore since eclair.
