flash while taking video?

I thought the evo's flash could stay on while taking video. If so how do I turn it on?

I use one of the LED Flashlight app's and just turn it on when ready to do a video.

LED light is a simple one that works well on the EVO. There is another one (cant remember name, sorry) that lets you control brightness and a couple other functions. I like the simplicity of LED Light, its in the market.

I LOVE that. Hella good. It's pretty nifty as well, just shake the phone to turn the light on or off if you're in the camera app. Definitely needs to be stock, that one does. This one gets remembered like Momentflash did when I had my Moment.

Just a question, wouldn't the LED get damaged if you set the light to it's highest setting in any extended amount of time?

I cannot answer this for fact, but what i can tell you is that in one of the apps it did advise againts using the LED light (as a flashlight) for extended periods of time as it may damage the LED(s). Sooo.. I would use it for short times.. not as a flashlight replacement.

The LED light app doesn't flip the flash on full power. It's at half power. If you want to see full power, turn flash on the camera and snap a picture. That real quick increase in the light strength before it snaps the shot is the full power.

On the LED Desire Light, you can actually set the light to it's brightest setting.
