Hero Screen vs. Evo Screen

I looked at an Evo today at Best Buy. Awesome looking phone!

For those of you who have/have had a Hero too, do you find the Evo's screen to be less saturated than the Hero screen? Side-by-side, the Hero's screen had much richer colors and much blacker blacks.

The reason I ask is that perhaps the display model at Best Buy had been tortured and wasn't up to par.

Thanks!

I notice it... but the color isn't that different to make me want to shy away. The only thing that peeves me off if the display driver issues HTC decided to hinder the phone with. Again, if it wasn't for those, I could honestly say I love this phone like no other. I can't, unfortunately, right now, because of this. HTC has known about the issue since the phones were given out at Google's I/O convention. They have known about the issue since it's official public retail release. They have known up to this very day, yet still send us spam responses in blatant ignorance of the issue, just putting their fingers in their ears and going, "LALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU", hoping that we'll shut up and be happy with a crippled device performing worse than crap that's been out for almost 3 years now.

Its like they went all out in the beginning and was like no no, we gotta cripple it a little. Lets give it a 30fps cap, lets take away a few million colors, and put a tft screen on it, yea!
4.3" Screen and they didnt think people were gonna notice??? Especially when apple announced a very pixel heavy ips retina display, htc just sat on their hands...

I'd return the evo for a epic but the lack of dev support and the slide out keyboard is keeping me in line.

Lets go HTC, give us froyo.

Lol, I give them to the end of this month. If nothing is done or heard about this by then, they have OFFICIALLY given up on the Evo. They've done nothing about it so far, and from what I've gathered through canned ass responses and ignorant CS reps, they don't care. I think at this rate the Evo may get the boot from Sprint because of HTC not wanting to keep it up. Epic 4G might be the legit big phone on Sprint instead of the Evo.

Samsung is known to be even worse than HTC about issues and support after release. Either way it's a gamble.

This absolutely made no sense

They've already put out two updates, and the phone has only been out in a month.

What other phone has 2.2, besides the Google phone and that was just released.

Are you going to keep getting phones every two or three months?

I swear some of you must be very unhappy people the way you like to whine and complain. If you don't like something, just get rid of it, stop crying about it. It's annoying when kids do it, and looks even worse when adults do it.

One of the first things I noticed when I got my phone was that my Hero's screen looked better. Mentioned this on another site and ppl didn't want to admit it and called me blind. I think it was because the phone just came out and ppl just didn't want to hear nothing bad about it. This issue made me come so close to returning the phone, but I kept it because the screen was larger and the phone is just way to fast to let go.
