Help Contact Photos - Help!

Hi guys,

I am fairly new to the HTC Legend so excuse my ignorance...

I have created a number of contacts as I stupidly lost all of them when I went from iPhone to HTC.

Now I am trying to assign photos to these contacts.
I have tried both Edit Contact and pushing the photo icon (it doesn't appear to be highlighted or able to be selected)
and have also tried going to the photo and selecting to use it for a contact. When I do that, none of my contacts appear in the list.

Help??

Also on a sidenote, is there no facebook chat on the androids??

Dude open people app, then browse to the desired contact.
open the contact, then touch the bar which shows the name of the contact, then touch on the default photo of the contact to assign a new photo.
