Thanks for posting this. That would be really sweet about the memory, but I'm wondering where they got that information from. Unless they changed them, it seems every site that claims to know the specifications lists something different, especially regarding the memory.

I also noticed from that list:
Memory @ 512 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM

and
Memory
16GB/8GB+ MicroSD(Up to 32GB)

It seems like it might be a badly written article, unless I'm misunderstanding what they mean.

They also misstate the dimensions of the Epic. I hope the internal memory is correct, but I don't if that review in particular is reliable.

Hopefully the memory part is true. This is a Baltimore magazine that has been around for years. Its free and they sit in these red stands spread around where I live.

The internal RAM/ROM is just 512MB/1GB, but up to 32GB micro-HD. Specs are from Samsung @ SAMSUNG mobile - GALAXY S

As for pricing - less than the EVO, but Sprint has been avoiding a direct answer, so far. I'd say, expect pricing to drop extremely before the year's over, as the other carriers get upgraded to 4G via LTE... good outreach on Samsung's part - every single major cell phone company in the USA has the same phone.

That is pretty amazing that every carrier will have a version of the same phone. If only they were all debuting at the same time LOL! Hopefully this one doesn't take much longer to get to the consumer, than the others. I'm glad at least T-mobile fans will have theirs this month.

On that particular page, it shows:

But it seems to be a generic Galaxy S page, obviously not pertaining to the Epic.

Got an Evo already. If I have to get yet another subscription, I'm putting my bet on Verizon's Galaxy S (whenever that comes out) -- I'd take their $54.99 unlimited 3G (with no voice) Text Only Messaging Plans from Verizon Wireless

Keep in mind that the AMOLED screen (even if super'd), being organic, won't last very long, so it's best as a backup toy phone. Should be better on the battery life, though.

@ShiftNo True, Samsung might vary not just 4G tech, but also different RAM/ROM for different carriers. The RAM/ROM for the Epic 4G was from the press event last week. Otherwise, it is basically the same A8 core, same phone.

The screen on the Epic 4G itself will likely outlast most phones. This is by no means a "backup toy".

Run of the mill OLED lasts 5 years at 8 hours of use per day...I know my phones screen isn't on for 8 hours a day. Samsung is already working on new technology and some newer experimental AMOLED screens have lasted longer than their LCD counterparts...so yeah....

5 years from now, many of us will be using an Epic 6 like device with a Super ratina Amoled display, so I'm not too worried lol

At&t will have theirs this month as well.

It seems like what the samsung rep said is partially true: all phones should debut by the end of july or early august.

...does anyone even keep a phone for more than 2 years these days? i'll take an awesome screen if it's going to give me 2-3 years of use compared to a mediocre LCD.

now, if we're talking TVs or monitors, that's another story...I have a 10yr old monitor at home that I still use.

Not sure why these phones are billed as the same. Guess the same processor and screen is enough for most people. Considering that (from what we know so far) only one has a hard keyboard, not all have front facing cameras, one has WiMax (so called 4G), I don't believe anything about specs until someone has the EPIC in their hands, with a manual and is verifying the basics.
