New 16GIG card coming. Do I have to do anything to it?

Hey Boardies.

Okay so I have a new 16GIG SD card coming, and I was just wondering if I need to do anything to it for it to work?

The 4 GIG one I have in is from my old Samsung, and my desire saw it straight away. Added it's own 'Droid files itself, and worked like a dream.

If I put this new 16GIG card in, will the phone automatically configure it to work as it did with the 4GIG, or do I need to format it. Also can I copy, and Paste all the files from the 4gig to the 16gig with no fear of it not working.

The 16gig card is class 2........whatever that means

You shouldn't need to format it,I think most come formatted.And yes just copy the contents on your old sd to the new one put it in and you're good to go.

I would format it when you get it just for good measure. I didn't format, used it straight out the box and hit loads of problems with the phone not recognising the card. A format fixed all the issues.
