So let me start off by telling everyone how in love I am with my Droid incredible. It's my first smartphone and I don't think I could live without it after the just over two weeks that I have had it. With that being said, I have one gripe about the phone...the lack of a physical end or clear key. I have found it difficult to end calls sometimes. A couple of times now I've called someone and got their voicemail and have wanted to hang up because I don't want to leave a message and I can't hang up quick enough because it takes a second for my screen to come back on due to the proximity sensor being covered a bit. This causes me to leave a "hangup" voicemail and everyone knows how annoying those are. I was wondering if there were any shortcuts to end a call or any way to assign let's say the search button to end a call while In a call. This would also be useful when in a call and I go to my home screen. The call screen disappears and I have no end button anymore. I know I can go to the notfications bar to end it but Its so much easier with a dedicated button set to end the call quickly. I'm guessing this isn't possible but I thought I would post this just in case it was. Thanks guys!

Many of us have the same frustration. There was a post in a thread in here the other day with someone saying that HTC is aware of the issue and supposedly working a fix with the next update...fingers crossed he knows what he talking about.

Could you share the link to that post with me? Do you mean that they are aware of the lack of a way to quickly end a call or that it takes a bit for the screen to come on or what? Thanks!
