Good Apps for lost eris, or locking eris??

Lost my Eris today on a golf course, not cool. Only by the power of Zeus' beard was it found, and now i'm on a mission to install one of the many apps i have seen in the market for help in either finding your eris or locking it so no one else can use it. SO....what apps would you recommend?? Which work the best, etc. Thanks!!!

I use wavesecure (20 bucks) and although I've never had to use it I like the security. From my PC i can lock the phone with a custom message (that I can change via the web) and have it sound an alarm. It also lets you track the phone's location though I don't know how accurate it is. If your really in a pinch you can wipe the phone remotely.

OK wave Secure looks seriously awesome, but not too happy about the $20 charge, plus it seems it would hog the battery terribly. Mobile Defense is "down" currently due to a recent beta test so while I am very interested in it unfortunately thats not an option for me as of now. And "find my android" has some pretty bad reviews and quite a few people are saying it wouldn't even run on their phones.
I really appreciate the help though!! Anyone else have any recommendations?

Using Lookout as of now, i did not turn on the anti-virus feature as i really dont need it, but am using the backup feature and of course the locate feature. the accuracy of the gps in finding my phone was the same as google maps, and the siren is decent at best, not any louder or clearer than my current ringtone, HOWEVER if your phone is on mute, vibrate or low this siren will help out. I notice an icon is always in the upper left corner so i will keep an eye on the battery usage. But for now its cool

I use (and love) look out. Never really thought about battery issues. But I constantly kill all of my apps via task killer, so even if it does try to drain I have got it covered. lol. However, when I am not there to kill it, I am sure it will pop up.

Too bad you didn't jump on Wavesecure during the beta free period like many of us. I absolutely love it.

Well yea, that would have been ideal but i honestly thought i could NOT lose my phone, so i never gave any thought to any type of retrieval app. Hindsight being 20/20 i would have absolutely jumped all over the wavesecure beta, but oh well.
I have not noticed any type of drain from Lookout but i have only been running it for 12 hours or so, i found the selection to make the icon disappear so now i dont even notice it, so far so good.

theres a remote wipe app for rooted phones. send a pre-designated text to your phone and it will do a full data wipe. i think the app is just called remote wipe. its a must for people with smart phones i think. i have my paypal info etc on my phone...thats be bad if i lost it :p

plus lookouts locate feature has saved my ass quite a few times.

In Lookout, if you go to Menu->Notification Settings, you can uncheck the "Ongoing Notifications" and it removes the icon in the notification bar :)

I personally love the automatic backup feature in Lookout.

**edit**
Another benefit is you can manage multiple phones under one account! I can check both my phone and my wife's phone very easily.

Well that's OK, Lookout is pretty solid, too.

Love the username, lol
