I know a lot of people suggest turning off the GPS signal to save battery. My only question is to turn off the gps signal you go to settings->location and then do you just uncheck use GPS satellites, or should you have use wireless networks unchecked also?

Just satellites. You should put the power control widget on one of your home screens. That makes it super easy to toggle between GPS on/off.

Yeah, I'm going to do that. Can you explain to me what each box turns on and off? I know the first one is wifi, the second is bluetooth, but what are the other ones going from left to right?

Just a heads up though. Disabling GPS will only improve your battery life when you are using apps that use your location (fine). Location (coarse) programs (like weather apps, for example) won't be effected.

The only thing disabling the GPS does is disables Location (fine). This is for apps like maps, navigation, geocaching, etc. You will know when Location (fine) is on when you see the little satellite dish with green lines. This is the ONLY time that the GPS chip is active and using power.

So it won't make a huge impact. Just thought you should know :)

Yeah, I didn't think it would seeing as I don't use too many applications that need the GPS.

Thanks for the rundown diabl0.
