Why is everyone flocking over the new twilight movie? IMHO I think that entire saga stinks. Am I the only one?

I'm in the theatre industry and can tell you that right now it's NUTS how many tweens are going to the movies to see Eclipse.

I ran across some this morning who said they are on their EIGHTH time seeing it!

I've never even seen it once.. I don't know how kids find the time to go see it 8 times - lol

I don't think I've ever watched any movie in general more than 4x

Not really my cup of tea either, but they're not terrible movies, and they're better than some other rubbish out there.

Can't think of any films I've seen multiple times in the theatre, but I can see the appeal if you've got the time and money, unless spoiled by noisy idiots, the theatre is a much better environment to enjoy a movie in all it's glory... unless you've got an awesome home theatre set-up... or it's porn.

I've never even thought about going to see one. Fluffy bunny vampires suck.

I also can't figure out why nobody calls the main vamp a pedophile. He is supposed to be over 100 and he is going after a teenager?!?!?

As I heard (or read, can't remember) someone put it once, vampires used to be hardcore... now they just look like pansies.

We're just trying to make everyone relax so it is easier for us to get a bite to eat.

A Swedish film made in 08... and if you want to wait, an American remake is coming out later this year. But I suggest watching if your interested in the non pansy vampires...

heard about this one, forgot about it though, gonna have to check it out.

on eclipse, i got suckered (suckered maybe isnt the best word, more like bribed/guilted) into going to see this with my wife, i fell asleep during the movie, lmao, so it wasnt completely unbearable, but i still paid $7 for a matinee ticket to take a nap for 35 minutes then made fun of most of the parts i did watch, needless to say my wife was kind of pissed off at me.

I read the book. Great book. Movie was good but I expected more since the book was in much more detail as usual.

I would have to say Underworld, Blade and The Lost Boys. I'm not a huge fan of the ugly bumpy faced vampires for the most part which is one of the reasons I had a problem with Buffy. I like the world that Anne Rice created, but not the movies.

have to say that ann rice is the sh!t when it comes to story telling, a lot of risque but time appropriate content in her books that might turn quite a bit of the average joe readers off, her attention to detail is unmatched, and yes, both movies made on her books have been absolutely butchered.

I actually walked up to a guy wearing one of those and told him in the most serious tone I could come up with, "No, we don't." He looked lost for a minute and then a little afraid. I'm pale enough and was wearing nothing that would have made you think vampire at all so I was able to pull that off.

The movies were horrible, but the books were incredible. A must read for anyone who thinks Twilight is good vampire fiction.

For the more action oriented lot of you, I would suggest Brian Lumley's Necroscope series.

Yes, Anne Rice wrote The Vampire Chronicles. Interview with the Vampire was the first in the series and a remarkable book. The movies were really bad and contained a tremendous amount of overacting. If you ever get the urge, read the book.

I might actually go see the Vampires Suck movie. Never was interested in Twilight and will probably never be. Glittering vampires... no thanks.

I've only seen the first two but I think I can safely say I'm not in the target group. I'll probably see the last too if only to be able to say: "It sucks amazingly hard and YES I've seen it so i KNOW!!"
