Well this is my second Android and so far the browser is real good(compare to BB, Windows mobile and iPhone ) but I was wondering what you guys like for the browser so far I like it just tabs is in menu and kind of sucks not to see the drop bar, but I'm using dolphin hd browser which is really easy with tabs switching , I tried fennec browser is good but too many bugs( is on beta) plus it takes a ton of space, I wish it will come out soon, anyways what are you thoughts of the browser and what would you like to see in the future(besides flash, that would be on 2.2) ?

Mm i didn't know about MSN, yeah I like the browser too but I meant like more user friendly without going to the menu to see tabs and stuff

I REALLY like Xscope and based on your comment above you will too. It just feels the most like a desktop browsing experience to me, complete with tabs at the top of the screen. Another great thing is that the developer is very active updating it with user suggestions. There is a free and a pay version in the market.

So far I'm pretty happy with dolphin and the stock browser. They both have their limitations but dolphin seems to have the more user friendly interface. If it had folders for the bookmarks it would be perfect. Xscope looks interesting although I'm concerned about it's ability to play nice with flash particularly some reports of it continuing to run after it's closed. Anyone know if this is an issue after the update a day ago?

Every time I've tried xscope, when I do pinch-zoom, if my finger is on a link while doing so, it clicks the link. Otherwise I liked xscope.

For now though, Dophin HD for me. :D

I just create a new folder somewhere on the home page, rename it to "Bookmarks" (or anything you want).

Then I Add to home > Shortcut > Dolphin Bookmark

After that I drag the bookmark into the folder.

Is that what you meant?

I mean more like folders in the dolphin app where the bookmarks are. Sort of like explorer folders that you can put the related bookmarks in. But your way would work too it's just that then they would take up space outside of the browser.

I think the default browser is the best. And in the default browser go to bing.com and search under videos and almost every video plays right there in the browser. It's pretty good check it out.
I agree, the default browser is easy to use and moves pretty fast. Dolphin browser is good, but to many option. I don't see the difference in the speed anyway.

I have Dolphin HD and XScope. Dolphin HD crashes far too often on my phone which loses all my tabs. I switched over the XScope which I really like except for the fact that it will not show/play linked youtube videos. On XScope I just see a big blank where I know a video is supposed to be. I can't even click on it to go to the youtube page so I have to copy the web address and paste into Dolphin every once in awhile. It's pretty irritating to switch between the two like that.

I see.. Instead of that long list. ;)

on topic: I use Dolphin HD alot. Skyfire sometimes when I want to view a video that the others won't load.

and Xscope is decent too. Nothing wrong with having multiple browsers.

Sorry for taking a tangent on the thread. How do you guys read/send the messages on the forums from the EVO? I haven't figured this one out yet.

I just use Dolphin HD, go to www.androidforums.com, sign in (I stay signed in) and read/post just like on my PC.

User Agent is always set to 'desktop' if that matters.

I don't really care about seeing web versions of pages because desktop versions work so well.
