Accessories 32 gb Micro SD from Verizon on launch day?

hmmmm that is a good question cause i didn't find any 32gb cards on bb's site or on NewEgg even....i'm about 87% sure i'm getting the DX on day of launch...have to wait till i physically hold it in my hand for the other 13%. I will be able to live with the 16gb card tho. ...however that PDF was helpful and i hope they have all of those case/skin options available at launch. Also i liked the NFL skins you can get too.

I can confirm that VZW stores (and I assume online availability) for the 32gb microSD card package will be in-stock come the 15th.

Though as others have pointed out, with 8gb of onboard storage (for Apps) and an additional 16gbs for media and other related items, an additional 32gb seems to be a bit overkill, especially for $100...

The only way I would even consider this, is with a 25% off discount, but even than it seems a bit too high.

They're coming from sellers who have a 99%+ rating though. Would those power sellers really want to hurt their rating?

Absolutely, I purchased one from a seller with 20000+ rating with several feedback saying they got their 32gb cards.

Shortly after I paid, I got email from ebay that the seller's account has been cancelled/closed/banned and that I should request a refund.

two weeks later I get a package in the mail with what looked like a 32gb micro SDHC card. put it into the computer, looked to be 32gb, copied 32gb of files on there, it accepted it, tried to open those files, none would open. tried to format it, it would not format.

Finally I ran a tool called h2testw on it. and it found the card was a fake, actually only 2gb SD faked to look like 32gb SD.

This from a seller who had 20000+ rating.

I've been watching other 32gb micro sd auctions on ebay, many of those sellers also have very high ratings, and lots of the listings get removed, and sellers accounts cancelled by ebay.

Google it, there are lots of similar stories. Those $30 to $40 32gb microsd cards are all fake.

They do a very good job making it look real, but you should not trust your data on them.

This is what I have heard as well. I'd love class 6 but I would settle for class 4 at a $99 price point.

Is the difference between classes of SD cards really noticeable?

I will opt for the 32GB if I sell my iPod Touch 32GB. Only problem is I buy/manage my music through iTunes, so the iPod is really convenient... although it's been having some annoying battery life problems with iOS4.

I've never owned an Android device so I have little experience with the media player. Everything I've heard is that it is lackluster, so I hesitate to ditch the iPod.

If I don't mind the media player I'll probably ditch the iPod touch and get an SD card later this year (I'm sure price will come down a bit by then).

It depends on the difference you are talking about and what you are trying to do on the card. If you go from a class 2 to a class 6 you gain 6MB/s. So dependent on how certain things are coded that may write/read heavily from the SD card you're better off going with the higher class.
