FINALLY!!! I ordered my phone Tuesday night through Verizon. Got my e-mail today certifying that the Droid X will land Tomorrow before 3.

Got the one year pricing ($369) as I am not eligible for an upgrade which is much better than the Retail $569.99 (wife would have shot me).

FREAKIN HAPPY!! Although I have grown to love the device I was using the past week as I was waiting for the X (Palm Pre Plus)

Sidebar: WebOs is the best OS I have used (My Opinion), the Hardware is bleh!!. When Palm get's some better hardware I may depart. But until such Point and time I am going to LUV my Droid X (Tomorrow)

I'll post pics and all dat good shiznit along with the a Phandroid Exclusive Dnevs79 video tomorrow (don't mind the tears in the video I'm so excited I imagine I may cry a little).

Yep I agree. Droid life.com or whatever had an insider from Verizon try to somehow order a Droid X a number of different ways and the system wouldn't let them process it. Kept saying something along the lines of "product cannot be processed until after 07//5/2010."

Unless some shady stuff is going on Im calling bs.

I feel like I'm the only one on this forum that can't jump from phone to phone to phone whenever something better comes out.

I will be getting a 1 year contract as well. I hate being stuck to a phone (since I've had the same one for 4 years).

If you have to buy a phone at retail price because you're locked into a contract, sell your current phone on eBay or craigslist. That's how a lot of people do it, you usually end up paying about the same as you would for an upgrade or new contract phone (around $200 roughly).

Funny!!

Actually, you can look at the price I paid ($369 -one year contract) and know my e-mail is real. Where else have you seen anyone else quote the one-year price.

The CSR didn't let me do it intially, then she said it won't hurt to try and when she did it was approved. The CSR then checked with the Supervisor who okay'd it.

I will post the video tomorrow and all that say I lie or hint at it will eat Crow. (FEDex comes around my area around 12 -1 pm I will shoot a video immediately and provide it as proof.

I currently have for sale on E-bay just incase I don't like the size when I I open the box (gotta get the big dollars if I can -- Ebay seller: DNOMADIC).

I will definitely post the pictures and video before I sale it though.

There is no override - The CS put it through the system and the system accepted. she checked with her Sup to see if it was okay.

But if you look you will that I am not the only one in this thread receiving one.

Call for yourself, and when the cs says they can not order say the exact thing I said:

" I saw on the internet where a number of people have received their Droid X already, can you at least check to see if the system will allow you to make an order?"

I said nothing other than that -- Again for the non-believer I will provide video proof tomorrow (I'll mention you by name in the video)

I noticed it doesn't say WHAT was ordered. While it may be possible you are getting an DX, a tracking email is hardly proof that you were able to order one. If you got it, great, I'm jealous. But I don't believe it any more with the email. I could post the tracking email I received from Amazon this morning and say it's a Ferrari...

how is it that we keep seeing all these reports of people getting their phones in already but no pics or videos of them with it even turned on, much less using it???.....i can wait till the 15th...honestly i should probably wait like a week or two after that since this is the first build.
