I noticed the youtube news yesterday about its new mobile site, but when i log onto the stock EVO internet browser and Dolphin HD, it looks nothing like the site in the video and still asks me if I want to use HTC Flash Player or Youtube app to play the video.

Also it seems to only choose HTC Flash Player now, how do I reset the defaults for this?

YouTube - Introducing the New YouTube Mobile Website

I know this is a bit off topic, but I didn't want to start a whole thread for this little problem. But can someone tell me why, the website "cracked.com"(funny site btw) doesn't stay in FULL desktop mode? I have the "mobile sites" option UNchecked. and when I scroll to the bottom to click cracked.com online, it goes to the full page next, but then when I view an article, say the article for the day at top left, it goes back to mobile. Its annoying.

Oddly this could simply mean that the stock browser just doesn't support HTML 5.

So - to see the problem - go to The HTML5 test - How well does your browser support HTML5?

Scroll down to the VIDEO section - the stock browser is supporting the video element in html5 - but it doesn't have any sort of handoff or codec support for H.264.

I was in the youtube beta, and as I recall, vids are now supposed to be html5/H.264

- not Flash of any kind.

Hope this helps....

PS - depending on whatever's easier for you, that url is http://html5test.com
