Accessories Sound Magic MP21 - awesome earphones + mic

I had ordered these for about $16 a while back and couldn't remember where I had the receipt, so I thought I never ordered them.

They arrived today and I have been using them all morning. AWESOME sound, mic is super clear, cord length is perfect (if you put phone in your pants pocket, the cord reaches your ears without much slack but just enough). Single button ends the call.

Sounds great and was under $20!

It took a WHILE to get them. Shipping is free, but they were shipped from Hong Kong. If you look up reviews of Sound Magic earphones on Head-Fi, most people rave about the quality for the price. I don't know what it is, maybe the drivers used are the same ones the volume manufacturers from China use for well known, high end brands, and that some Chinese company decided to use the same drivers and their own branding. They sound great.

I used PayPal but did NOT get a receipt that I can find, that's why I thought I didn't order them. So, beware of shipping times.

It got here today 6/19

Other sites sell the same earphones, they just might charge slightly more, but some of them are domestic sites.

Great earphones. Very happy. Got a package from bidallies today for my OEM 1500 mAh battery. What a great day.

Soundmagic MP/PL21 really impressive!! - Head-Fi.org Community

The guy said his initial impression slightly changed, but search for other Sound Magic earphones on those forums. Everyone loves Sound Magic, especially for the price.

What I love most about these ear phone is the cord length: I can put the phone in my pocket and there's just enough slack for usability (when the earphones are in my ears), so no annoying cable flopping around. I'm 5'7 but you could probably be a bit over 6'0 and be as satisfied.

Cable length is 1.2 m

Came with three sets of ear tips (small, med, large)

The bass is decent, but the best thing about them is the overall sound: it's not really biased in either mid, low or bass. Doesn't sound "tinny," either.

Again, it's really the performance for the price that blows me away. They seem sturdy, too.

And the mic is super clear. I was just so tired of having a wireless BT headset; I hate worrying about headset battery and my own phone's battery draining due to BT being on. Super annoying.

Based on Sony's MDR ED12 headphones w/o mic (Sony MDR-ED12LP Heavy Bass Earbud Style Stereo Headphones in Gold / Audio / Headphones / Sony - Zalmar.com).

I used a set with my Storm 1, then on the Incredible. I really appreciated the bass tones of the headphones, especially with the Incredible since the OS doesn't have any sound enhancement option (1 up for the Storm 1 in that area).

The headphone/mic that I returned were super tinny and my ears were begging for mercy . I didn't even try the mic b/c I knew it was going back. Oh well.

And +1 on BT headset impressions since I have the same reservations.

Only problem is the button does nothing for me on my incredible.

Doesn't start voice dial, doesn't hang up during a call, Doesn't start or stop music.

Why do I have a button? am I doing something wrong?

Really? The button works for me: dials the last call if I'm not on a call, or hangs up the call in session.
