Droid X Camera APK on Incredible???

Motorola DROID X: camera features and settings walk through Boy Genius Report

I just watched this video on BGR of the Droid X camera and I was wondering about the Camera App; there's some really cool features. I'm not looking for 720p just yet hopefully that will come to our Incredibles soon. But I would like the Panoramic, Steady Shot and Multi-Shot functions.

Do you guys think this we could replace our camera.apk with this one?

agreed, i had all that on my Omnia. Why are the little things so right on WinMo but the basic underlying functions so screwed up haha

Its all about how the phone manufacturer deals with the camera, it has never been that big of a feature with HTC phones. Samsung seems to have really nice functions in their cameras (maybe because they also build cameras). The camera programming is probably the only thing I'm disappointed in with HTC. I wish/hope someone can figure out how to bring other manufacturer's camera programming over to our phone. Maybe with the upcoming update to 720p, they will fix/improve our camera functions. It really is the only thing keeping this phone from being truly incredible in my eyes.

Kind of sad... even my stinkin Dare has panoramic mode.

Not that I ever used it, but still.
easy now , girly-girl, dem almost be fightin' words :p
since I gave my Omnia to a friend to try out the "smart phone world" my Dare is my back-up (active on 3rd line), I think it is a fine feature phone, took good pics, the pan cam worked well, always had signal, in fact it is my alarm clock now.
charge it every 3-4 days even though it still about 50%

* you know just kidding 'bout fightin' , while maybe not wise , age has taught me butt woopins' are not fun

LOL!

My Dare has been very good to me, I must admit. I even converted quite a few people to it within months of having it. Always great signal, never a dropped call. Took some pretty decent pictures with it, too.

And I am really going to miss the ability to only have to charge once or twice a week.

But it's time for it to retire. It served me well. But I am ready to move into the Smartphone world ;)

I agree. The dare was a good phone with good camera features like taking panoramic shots and even editing your pics on your phone (even pics you didn't take on the dare). It would have been nice if HTC had implemented these features. Yes it's a phone first but to have an 8mp camera and later the 720p update (whenever that happens) you would think more features would have came with the phone. Now we must hope somebody create an app that can do these features with the INC.
