Oh, I see the airplane mode icon under the plug. Too bad, something like that indicating when the phone is charging would have been very cool.

I bet that can be done with this new custom live wallpaper creator i saw last night. it had cutom indicators like that

Well it took a while, but I figured out how to make screen captures on my unrooted evo through SDK (one annoying thing about that, btw, is that, since the phone does not read your SD card when you're plugged into the computer via USB, there's no way to show Beautiful Widgets setups on an unrooted device ).

Still playing around, going for minimalism here, but I dunno - it may be too simple. I'm also not totally in love with the icons, and not totally sold on Launcher Pro either.

I have a couple other fun wallpapers I'll show off with some other setups later.

Only using 2 screens at this point. With Launcher Pro, you can load up the doc at the bottom and scroll that without scrolling from page to page, so you can have 15 apps right there.

An alternative home screen with stock icons.

You're absolutely right - I was mounting my Evo as a disc drive, and doing that it will not access info on the SD card, but mounting it as charging only does the trick.

Still a work in progress. I think I have to decide on my background first, then I can work on widget layout, etc., and choose between Sense, Launcher Pro and ADW.

One of the things I like about Beautiful Widgets is you can set behavior on a tap of the clock, date, and weather - so I set my calendar to open on a tap of the date, and then I don't need to have a calendar icon on the desktop.

Here are a few alternative screens. Anyone have a favorite?

Walking Dead

Frozen Eyeballs

Futuristic City

Robots

Croatia

Nantucket

Yeah these 2, where did you get the backgrounds? And is the clock beatiful widgets?

Thanks for the comment!

Yes, the clock and weather are various skins on Beautiful Widgets Home.

The croatia background I originally got on the Wallpapers thread (http://androidforums.com/tips-tricks-evo-4g/79144-official-unofficial-evo-4g-wallpaper-thread.html). I posted some similar landscapes on the 6th page.

The frozen eyeballs I just found on some random free wallpaper site. I couldn't find it in my history (lots of sites visited looking for that kind of stuff the past few days), but here's the correct size wallpaper if you'd like it.
