I just entered that code to see what it would say...
Network Lock = ON
Network Subset Lock = OFF
SP Lock = ON
CP Lock = OFF
And your are right about the "CODE", that is how you would unlock the phone if you were to be given a code.
Thanks for the ideas.
Just used this site today, FastGSM.com, worked great. It was really easy to use and a lot faster than waiting for a damn code. Finally my phone is unlocked
I have to ask - Is this legal? I mean, doing it without getting your carrier involved?

See bottom of page
*#7465625# (= Check the locks)
When I do this it says: "USSD code runing..."
Next: "Unable to Process Request"
What's the problem with that?
Running Galaxo 1.6.2 if matters.
My phone is Bell and i am using on the Rogers network, the only way i found to unlock it is with a sim unlocker that slides under your sim card.
When u get a code from a website they usually only give u one one code, when SP and Network are locked u need 2. I went through this when unlocking a SE phone from FIDO. I needed a special program then i had to buy credits to use it. It was a hassle and it does not always work. Not all phones that need to be unlocked this way can be, at least the i7500L can't be as of yet.
The one that i am using is iSmart sim unlock, i got it off ebay for less then $10 shipped. All i had to do was set the APN for Rogers into the phone.
Hope this helps
is there a way i can do it for free? im with bell 2 lol and i want fido

Yes its legal, where I live anyways (Canada). Plus, I won the phone in a contest...and I hate Bell.
Well, I gave my phone to the service to unlock it, and paid 120 kn, that's around 17
