I've now had my Incredible for two days and I must say the phone is just awesome. With that said, I'd like to give you that are waiting a couple of points of advice.
*When you get it, charge it as instructed -- 8 hours off.
*Turn it on, program it, and don't install a bunch of software!
*Go to settings, about phone, and battery use and see what your up time and awake time are. Up should be much more than awake. If not, your phone isn't sleeping.
*After you have used your phone for a day or two, THEN install an app or two at a time. Monitor your up and awake. Many apps on the market (and some built in) are causing the phone not to sleep and making the battery last a VERY short time.
I didn't do this... right when I got the phone, I turned a bunch of widgets on and installed about 15-20 games and such. My battery lasted all of about 4-5 hours. After an hour or so I would have about 60% battery left...
I reset the phone back to factory last night before I went to bed at 11 ish. I pulled it off the charger at 100%. At 9:00AM, the battery is still showing 100%. Clearly I didn't use it but neither did some stray app cause it to drain...
I thought I'd provide this in hopes some of you might avoid battery life pitfalls......
