Accessories Video Review of the TETRAX XWAY and FIX Mount

Thanks for the great review! I've been searching high and low for a mount solution for my car. I love the tetrax from what I've seen, but unfortunately the vents on my Civic and Odyssey aren't conducive to giving me the best visibility for nav and music. I was thinking of going with the FIX and making a custom set-up using the mount and arm from a universal mount. I was thinking of getting some sort of material and countersinking the FIX mounting point in it so that it's pretty flush and provides good lateral support. Has anyone attempted such a thing?

gobluejd, great review. Looks like you have your clip attached to the Seidio Innocase II which I also use. I have the Seidio holster as well, do you think attaching the clip to the back of the case will prevent it from snapping onto the holster?

Not sure what you mean about clip? The small round disk? I do use the Holster but it does not interfere with the clip as the disk faces out. I think this is what you mean?

You're exactly right, I meant the round disk in the back. Wanted to know if putting the adhesive disk onto the back of the Seidio Innocase II would interfere with the case snapping onto the holster. I just didn't want to purchase the Tetrax only to make my Innocase holster irrelevant.

Is that the same setup you have?

It does not interfere at all. The disk is on the back of the case, and the screen faces into the holster.

Really?!? I always thought the screen faces outward when docked into the holster. I've new tried it both ways, it does seem to fit more snug with screen facing inward.

I use the Innocase II and Holster (as a holster, not a dock). When the CASE is in the HOLSTER the screen faces in and the back of the phone (case with disk) faces outward.

Not sure what you mean by "dock".

I bought one of these last week after seeing your comments in the Car Dock Discussion Thread. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it IMO. I absolutely love it. The only thing I do not like is that my rubber case slides around now because of the disc on the back, but its not a deal breaker by any means.

Tip: when mounting the disc on the phone, be sure to place it a bit above center, that way when the phone is laying flat on a table it will be slanted towards you rather than away.

Actually I am currently using the small on both my naked extend and my seidio. The first case I put it on was the vzw gel. I just said the larger one as probably adds more stability. But I can assure you the smaller one is holding up just fine.
