The Real Sky Raider Froyo w/ Sense Beta

I created a build of Froyo with SenseUI that I ported from the EVO that is working and very stable. I have been working on this a while, so I hope you enjoy it. There are still some things that do not work, but there is loads of other things that do work. This is in beta right now. Download and enjoy.

As always, I am not responsible for all the joy you will have flashing this ROM ... err ... I mean you messing up your phone flashing this ROM. Do the smart thing and make a nand backup. You waited this long, you can wait 5 more minutes.

Directions:
1. Download the ROM from the link above
2. Place it on your sd card
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Do a nandroid backup
5. Perform a full wipe
6. Select "install zip from sdcard"
7. Select the file and you're on your way to happiness

NOTE: The first boot takes a very long time. Just be patient, it will work.

Its a froyo thing, not a sky raider or a cm6 (since both cameras are shot). Its because htc uses specific drivers which have not been ported or are not compatible. This is the same reason the vanilla 2.1 roms (yetirom and cm 5.0.1 test1/3) only supported 3mp

Honestly if this phone wasn't such a pain in the ass to charge it wouldn't be that big of a deal but with having to bump charge and everything..... really kinda need it.

Camera is an HTC thing I heard, I also use it a lot (for QR codes more than pictures LOL) but I am trying to see how long I can go without it.

The only thing I found and it might be a Froyo or HTC thing is you cannot hit the menu button to unlock the phone. I always used that way of unlocking, it was just easier for me.


Edit: Is it supposed to just say EvDo all the time or should it say something else?

incorrect. on both of my CM builds we have 5MP on the camera. i may see if its possible to get it ported, its pretty standard on CM builds over there thanks to Darchstar.

Is Camera 360 a 3rd party app? If so does 3ddoid,footprints,etc work? Is GPS also a driver issue?

EVDO=3G , so I assume he replaced the wording. I prefer a simple 3G over the cramped EVDO though. Also I have seen some of these ROMs replace pressing menu to unlock with clicking the trackpad, did you try that?

I tried taking pictures even though the screen was black thinking it may be a preview thing when I first flashed but it would not take pictures. I also tried taking pictures with PhotoFunia and it just force closes when launching the camera.

What is this 360 you speak of?

This is NOT real froyo. Look in quadrant under device specifics. It will say that digital fingerprint is ERE27 (or whatever eclair bulid is) and system is signed 2.1 update1. Yes there are froyo files in here, but it is based on eclair, but has modded froyo files in it, so it appears to be full froyo. You would not know the difference unlesd you were actually looking for it. Btw it is based off eclair to aid system stability, so the froyo part aand to have sense be stable. This is why we can use custon kerels.

Yep I tried that have to use the swipe on the lock screen, it isnt a deal breaker I was just used to hitting menu.

Stop trolling. The fingerprint was left in so more apps would show up in the Market. It's just text in a file. This is all Froyo.
