Anybody buying the X full retail?

Unfortunately, I'll have to get the X for the full price of $569.99. I've already used up my upgrade and won't up another one til next August.

Anyone else?

You could call customer service and see if they can push that to this week. That's what did did. Well, I e-mailed them over the weekend asking if it was a possibility. I told them if they did, I would buy two (I have a second line that is currently eligible.) Hoping for a response today. (Monday)

I'm going to talk to Verizon today. I don't need a 2nd line though.

I was ready to pull the trigger and buy @ full retail too. But it is actually cheaper to just add a line @ $9.99/month and get the phone at promo pricing. You can transfer a dumbphone to the new line and the DX to your line without penalty.

Full Retail: $569.99

Add-a-line (2-year): $199 (DX) + $240 (9.99*24mo) = $440

Add-a-line (1-year): $270 (DX) + $120 (9.99*12mo) = $390

^^All who think they have to pay full retail consider this! ^^
:)

EDIT: AND another bonus is that you'll be able to upgrade every year with double 2-year lines and every 6 months with double 1-year lines! That's what I'm doing at least lol ;)

Only problem with this is that I believe you MUST sign up for data plan with Verizon when purchasing ANY smartphone.

Therefore you are at $9.99/month + $29.99/month data plan = approx $40/month = $480 per year.

Nice try

When I was at the store the girl who worked there mentioned the two year plan to me and mentioned they could just blank out the new lines so you wouldn't have to carry the other data plans.

I hope she was right.

Well if you transfer the DX to your main line right after you get it and then put the dumb phone on that extra line you added you would only be paying data for the main line then and only the 9.99 for the dumb phone line that you added plus maybe 1 day of pro-rated data charge on the new line which would be an extra $1 or $2

You're incorrect. Please don't throw out information unless you know what you're talking about. You do need the 29.99 data plan for any smartphone, but you can transfer that to your current line. The "new" line can then have a dumb phone placed on it for only $9.99/month

That is why I said "I believe". And according to you my information IS correct. I was simply trying to iterate that the work-around only works if you currently have a 'dumb' phone. If you already have a smart phone, you will end up paying more by adding a line with a second smart phone.

A little testy today MaxxVE? Just trying to be thorough with the information people are receiving
