Help Backup Assistant???

Will VZW's backup assistant work with the DroidX? If not what would be the best way to get my contacts off of my 9650 on to the DroidX? I've used google sync but not sure i trust it a 100% i was wondering what my other options would be....besides the guys in the store doing it. Thanks in advance.

According to reviews and VZW the backup assistant is good to go, you should just have to enter your old information and bring up your account, like with your pin and what not. I have messed this up on my old phones when switching cause i set up a new account on my phone instead of just using my old one. Good luck, and if all else fails just have a VZW store do it for you

It should, the service comes stock on the X.

yeah last resort will be to let them do it. They've never messed up before but i have heard of it happening.

Use Google Sync on your BlackBerry to sync all of your contacts with Google. Then when you get your X and log into your Google account, all of your contacts will automatically come in.

yeah i synced my BB with Google Sync on sat in prep for this week....i've never used it before so thats why i said i don't 100% trust it. Maybe i'll give it a shot though. Won't hurt anything i guess.

Do all of your contacts show up in GMail? If so, you're good to go.

i am actually going to try this route too cause i have a storm 2, and def have no way of going to a vzw store if i eff it up

I've been with VZW for years. Ever since BackupAssistant was released I've had problems with it syncing and working as they claim it should. I've opted to use Google Sync instead. I have BackpAssistand Disabled on my Droid.
