will Tmobile allow me to buy the phone for retail?

I'm looking to buy the samsung vibrant soon. But I have some questions and any1 who can help me will be greatly appreciated. 1. I want to buy the phone outright but I don't want to pay anything upfront. Does tmobile allow you to put the charges on your account? The reason I want do it like that because I have some credit on my account and its more convenient for me to have the charges in one place. 2. This isn't really important to me but has any1 that has the vibrant(lookin at you tmo employees) ran any benchmarks? I wonder if the cpu in the vibrant is underclocked at all?... thanks for everybodys help.

Yes, tmobile has installment plans one being 19 months of somewhere around $20-$30 each of those 19 months and another being 4 payments of $125 but I think they are starting to change how its billed though. They might not bill it to your account but a separate bill. You still however will have to pay the minimum of 1 payment upfront though.

Ppl ran some benchmark testing the FPS and it did double nexus one and htc desire. 55fps compared to nexus one's and desire's 22fps. pretty good.

remember though to use the EIP with the 20 month installment option you have to be on the Even More Plus account as far as I'm aware, otherwise they won't let you. Atleast thats my understanding.

I'm not on the EMP plan, still on the old ones, and I can get installment planes. According to my-tmobile anyways.

Does the EIP allow you not to put any money down? Will tmo let me do EIP even if Im on the 59.99 family plan and I have a year left on my contract?

you have to put money down, and provided you have enough credit on the line I don't see why not.

Depending on the price will determine what you pay up front. If you choose the full retail split into 20 payments, you have to pay the 1st payment plus any applicable tax upfront.

For reference the HD2 was $449, when I purchased it I paid $22.50 + $28.06(6.25% tax) up front. and then they add the monthly amount on top of your bill.

When I first started using EIP, I switched over to the Even More Plus for $30, and they let me split into 20
